SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -Cliff Lee was just trying to spot his fastballs. The Texas Rangers had no trouble finding them.

The reigning Cy Young winner gave up 10 runs, nine earned, on 11 hits in 2 2-3 innings during an 11-5 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday.

The Rangers opened the game with three straight hits and had a four-run first inning. The Rangers added six more in the third.

``Today I was working on locating fastballs and they caught on to what I was doing early on,' Lee said. ``Whatever.

``I'm just trying to stay aggressive and locate my fastball. There were counts where I might have done something different if it were the regular season.'

Lee walked one, struck out two, hit a batter and threw a wild pitch as his spring ERA ballooned to 18.90 in three starts.

``I've seen it so many times with so many good pitchers,' Indians manager Eric Wedge said. ``They're not out there trying to make the team. They're out there getting their work in.'

Kerry Wood was one of five Indians relievers to hold the Rangers to two hits over the final 5 1-3 innings.

Rangers starter Scott Feldman was sharp over his first four innings but faded in the fifth. Grady Sizemore's two-run homer was one of four Cleveland hits and the Indians scored five runs before Feldman gave way to Josh Rupe.

Feldman went a spring-best 4 1-3 innings and allowed the five runs - three earned - on eight hits and a walk. He struck out three.

``He ran into a little trouble in the fifth inning but made some pitches,' said Rangers manager Ron Washington. ``He's zeroing in. All we want to try to do is keep him from having stressful innings.'

Notes: Feldman had thrown 10 scoreless innings over four starts before Cleveland's big inning. ... Indians RHP Adam Miller, who had surgery on his right middle finger in May, had the finger examined by Dr. Tom Graham earlier Tuesday. Trainer Lonnie Soloff will discuss the results of the exam on Wednesday. ... Rangers OF Andruw Jones went 2-for-5 with a walk, a double and a stolen base in a minor-league game against Kansas City's Triple-A Omaha affiliate on Tuesday. Texas, which signed Jones to a minor-league contract just before the start of spring training, has until Monday to place him on the major-league roster or he can become a free agent. Jones is 8-for-31 in 13 official spring games. ... Rangers pitchers Luis Mendoza and C.J. Wilson, both sidelined with blisters, played catch in the outfield but had their bullpen sessions delayed.
