PHOENIX (AP) -Grady Sizemore was back to his usual self Monday, racing around the bases to score for the Cleveland Indians.

Sizemore went 3-for-3, scored twice and drove in two more to lead Cleveland to a 9-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox in his second game back after a groin injury.

``He was moving very well,' manager Eric Wedge said. ``He didn't feel anything. That's a good sign.'

Sizemore, recovering from a strained left groin, went 0-for-1 with a walk as a designated hitter in the Indians' 8-5 loss to an Oakland Athletics split squad Sunday. He is slated to play center field against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.

Sizemore helped the Indians rough up White Sox starter John Danks, who allowed six runs, five earned, and eight hits in two innings. Danks said he had trouble locating his fastball.

``I'm not worried about it,' he said. ``I know where I'm at right now. I feel good. It's just one of those days. ... I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.'

Chicago did get some positive news about its pitching staff.

Bartolo Colon and Jose Contreras, who could fill out the final two spots in the rotation, each threw about 20 pitches to minor leaguers in batting practice Monday morning.

Contreras, who is from Cuba, then flew to Florida where he'll be sworn in as an American citizen on Wednesday.

Contreras and Colon are set to throw batting practice again on Thursday. If all goes well, they could each pitch an inning in Saturday's game against Texas.

``They threw the ball good,' manager Ozzie Guillen said. ``They're coming along real well. We're excited about it. We hope they build their strength little by little. We hope we can see what they really have.'

Contreras said he hopes to be ready by opening day. That timeline would be a surprise, considering it looked as if he would be out until midseason because of a ruptured Achilles' tendon suffered last August.

Colon is coming off an elbow injury.

Victor Martinez also went 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Indians. Andy Cannizaro also had three hits, including a solo homer.

Cleveland's Fausto Carmona allowed three runs and five hits in three innings. He struck out one and walked one.

``I was very pleased with the way he threw,' Wedge said. ``He was aggressive and kept the ball down in the strike zone.'

Chicago's Chris Getz hit a three-run, inside-the-park homer in the second inning. Getz was helped along when Indians center fielder Ben Francisco fell down on the warning track while trying to pick the ball up in right-center field.
