Game: 2

DENVER (AP) - Giancarlo Stanton may never want to leave Coors Field. The Colorado Rockies can't wait to say goodbye to the Miami slugger.

Stanton homered in his fifth straight game in Denver, Jose Reyes also homered and the Marlins beat the Colorado Rockies 6-5 on Friday night.

Wade LeBlanc won for the first time as a starter and John Buck and Gorkys Hernandez had two hits each for the Marlins, who won for just the third time in their last 10 games.

``Any time you can get out of this place with a win it's a good night,' LeBlanc said. ``It's a tough place to pitch.'

Stanton has proven in his short career at Coors Field it's not a tough place to hit. His home run was his fifth in as many games he has played at the park, tying Jeff Kent for the most games in a row with a homer by a visiting player.

Does Stanton, who plays at spacious Marlins Park, wonder what kind of numbers he could put up playing half his games in Denver?

``Yeah, I could,' he said. ``You can use your imagination.'

Blasts like the one he hit Friday give a hint as to what he could do in the thin air. Stanton crushed the ball and estimated 474 feet, which is the longest at Coors Field this season.

``It's the farthest one I've hit up here,' he said. ``When you play in a park like that you don't have to do too much to get it out.'

Stanton's 23rd homer wasn't just long, it keyed Miami's winning rally. He led off the sixth with the blast off reliever Josh Roenicke (4-1) to tie the game at 5-all.

``This kid, every time he's at the plate he's in scoring position, especially this park,' Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said. ``He's got so much potential, so much power, it doesn't who's in there, you always got the feeling the game can turn around when he's at the plate.'

Donovan Solano followed with a triple and scored on Buck's double to give the Marlins a 6-5 lead.

Wilin Rosario had two hits and two RBIs for the Rockies, who had their four-game winning streak stopped.

The Rockies had had the tying run on second in the seventh but Dexter Fowler and Carlos Gonzalez struck out to strand Eric Young Jr.

Tyler Colvin lined out softly to end the eighth with runners at the corners.

Steve Cishek pitched a perfect ninth to pick up his eighth save.

``The chances to tie the game was there,' Rockies manager Jim Tracy said. ``We couldn't get the hit we needed to get.'

While the Marlins were mashing, the Rockies were using small ball to score their runs. Eleven of Colorado's 12 hits were singles, with seven coming in the fourth and fifth innings.

``They got a lot of jam jobs over second base and ground balls through the five hole or up the middle,' Buck said. ``Those hits are a lot more manageable than doubles in the gap.'

The Rockies used those singles to rally twice. In the fourth inning Rosario and Jordan Pacheco had run-scoring singles to give Colorado a 2-1 lead.

Reyes gave the Marlins a 4-2 lead with a three-run homer - his ninth - off starter Jeff Francis in the top of the fifth. Left fielder Carlos Gonzalez reached over the fence and got his glove on it but couldn't hold it.

``It was frustrating because it was in my glove at the end,' Gonzalez said. ``I barely missed it.'

The Rockies came right back in their half of the inning to retake the lead on three singles and a groundout.

Josh Rutledge drove in the first run with a single to short, Gonzalez's groundout tied it and Rosario's two-out single to center gave Colorado a 5-4 lead.

LeBlanc (2-2) was lifted for a pinch hitter after the fifth. He allowed five runs on nine hits and struck out a pair to get his first win since moving into the rotation on Aug. 1.

``I gave back two leads and they gave me a third one,' LeBlanc said.

The Marlins jumped ahead 1-0 on Carlos Lee's RBI double in the first.

NOTES: Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said Emilio Bonifacio will play exclusively in the outfield when he returns from the disabled list Sunday. ... Rockies RHP Jhoulys Chacin (pectoral) had a strong rehab start Thursday and will travel with the team next week. ... Miami RHP Nathan Eovaldi (3-8) will face Colorado's Tyler Chatwood (3-2) on Saturday.
