KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The weather keeps wreaking havoc for the Kansas City Royals.

Just about everyone else in Major League Baseball, too.

The Royals' game against the White Sox was postponed Friday due to freezing rain and will be made up Monday, when the teams were scheduled to have a day off and the forecast is much better.

The Royals played into the fourth inning against Tampa Bay on Thursday before that game was also postponed with snow starting to fall on the field. But unlike the Rays, who aren't scheduled to return to Kansas City, the White Sox had several days that could work for a makeup.

``I used to worry about these kinds of things, but not anymore. There's nothing you can do about it,' Royals manager Ned Yost said. ``We'll play when we can play.'

The temperature was hovering in the mid-30s when Friday's game was called about four hours before the scheduled first pitch. There was a constant drizzle falling at Kauffman Stadium, winds gusting in from the north and the forecast for game time not looking much better.

The inclement weather wasn't much of a surprise. Royals outfielder Jeff Francoeur said after the previous night's postponement, ``You can go ahead find a makeup day for tomorrow, too.'

The Royals have had four games postponed due to rain this season, and another postponed during the search for the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. Two have since been played.

The White Sox have had three games postponed due to rain. None have been made up.

Yost said he plans to push everyone in his starting rotation back by a day, which means Jeremy Guthrie will pitch Saturday, Wade Davis will go on Sunday and James Shields on Monday.

The Royals travel to Baltimore on Tuesday, when Ervin Santana will be on the mound.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura is pushing Dylan Axelrod back to start Saturday's game, and keeping left-hander Jose Quintana in place on Sunday. The starter for Monday is up in the air, but Ventura said that Jake Peavy could be on the mound.

Peavy was scratched from Thursday night's start against Texas due to back spasms. He said it locked up on him after stretching exercises before Wednesday's game, and he received treatment most of Thursday in hopes of making his scheduled start.

``I've never had anything like this happen,' Peavy said. ``I begged and begged to see if we could give it as much time as we could for today. We really haven't put a game plan together other than today just knowing that I can't go.'

The night off should help the White Sox get healthy.

Outfielder Jordan Danks was a late scratch earlier this week because of swelling in his right knee, and fellow outfielder Dwayne Wise - who went 4 for 4 as Danks' replacement on Tuesday - was scratched in center field Thursday night because of a stiff neck.

Starting pitchers Gavin Floyd (right arm) and John Danks (left shoulder) are among six players on the disabled list, including everyday players Gordon Beckham and Dayan Viciedo.

``I think every day you go through the list and figure out who's available, and the training room's full,' Ventura said. ``It's just part of the playing the game. You just deal with it.'

NOTES: The White Sox won two out of three when the Royals visited Chicago to open the season. ... The Royals are 15-10 on the season, coming from behind for 10 of those wins. ... The White Sox have won four of their last six road games after starting 0-5 on the road. ... John Danks made his first rehab start Thursday night at Double-A Birmingham. He allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings, throwing 55 of 86 pitches for strikes. He's been on the DL for the White Sox after having shoulder surgery Aug. 6.
