WASHINGTON (AP) - Jhoulys Chacin pitched seven shutout innings and hit an RBI single, and the Colorado Rockies snapped their season-high, five-game losing streak by beating the Washington Nationals 7-1 on Saturday.
DJ LeMahieu hit his first home run and Michael Cuddyer's RBI single in the first extended his hitting streak to 20 games, the longest active streak in the majors and tied for the longest this season.
Chacin (6-3) held Washington to five hits with one walk and three strikeouts to win his third straight start.
Dan Haren (4-9) allowed six runs and seven hits in 3 1-3 innings.
Making his major league debut, Rockies outfielder Corey Dickerson doubled in his first two at_bats and drove in a run during a three-run first inning.
Matt Belisle pitched a spotless eighth, but Wilton Lopez allowed Ryan Zimmerman's home run with one out in the ninth to help Washington avoid being shut out for the ninth time this season.
Cuddyer has reached base safely in 39 straight games, breaking the Rockies record set by Matt Holliday in 2007.
Haren allowed his 19th home run of the season, had two wild pitches and hit a batter while raising his ERA to 6.15. Ohlendorf allowed one run in 4 2-3 innings of relief, on a solo homer by Nolan Arenado.
NOTES: OF Jayson Werth was scratched from the Nats' lineup. Steve Lombardozzi replaced Werth in the order, and Roger Bernadina shifted from left field to Werth's position in right. ... St. Louis Cardinals 3B David Freese had a 20-game hitting streak earlier this season. ... Colorado LHP Jorge De La Rosa (7-4, 3.21 ERA) faces LHP Ross Detwiler (2-5, 3.34) in Sunday's series finale.
