New Orleans at San Antonio (9 p.m. EDT). The Hornets are 6-0 at home this postseason, but just 1-3 on the road as they try to close out the defending NBA champions.

-David West, Hornets, had career playoff highs of 38 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots, lifting New Orleans to a 3-2 series lead over San Antonio with a 101-79 victory.

-Richard Hamilton, Pistons, scored 31 points as Detroit eliminated Orlando in five games and reached the Eastern Conference finals following a 91-86 victory.

Orlando committed 21 turnovers leading to 34 points, while the Pistons had an NBA-record low three turnovers despite missing starting point guard Chauncey Billups, and Detroit eliminated the Magic in five games of the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 91-86 victory Tuesday night.

With two more victories Tuesday night, home teams improved to 17-1 in the second round this postseason.

Detroit advanced to the Eastern Conference finals for the sixth straight season Tuesday night following a 91-86 victory that eliminated Orlando in five games. The Pistons lost the last two Eastern Conference finals after advancing to the NBA Finals in both 2004 and 2005. Detroit improved to 15-3 when it has a chance to advance since 2003.

Tim Duncan had 23 of San Antonio's 46 rebounds in a 101-79 loss to New Orleans on Tuesday night that left the defending NBA champions one game away from elimination.

Atlanta's Al Horford was the only unanimous choice with 58 votes, while Seattle's Rookie of the Year Kevin Durant (57) also headlined the NBA All-Rookie team announced Tuesday. Houston's Luis Scola (53), Clippers forward Al Thornton (48) and Seattle's Jeff Green (43) also made the first team.

The All-Rookie second team was Toronto's Jamario Moon, Memphis' Juan Carlos Navarro, Philadelphia's Thaddeus Young, Detroit's Rodney Stuckey and Houston's Carl Landry.

Spurs forward Robert Horry set an NBA record by appearing in his 238th playoff game Tuesday night, a 101-79 loss to New Orleans. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar held the previous record for playoff appearances with 237. Horry, in his 16th season, has been in the playoffs in all of them, winning two championships with Houston and San Antonio and three with the Lakers.

Detroit's Richard Hamilton broke Isiah Thomas' career playoff scoring record of 2,261 points in 110 games - one fewer than Thomas needed - scoring 31 to help the Pistons reach the Eastern Conference finals with a 91-86 victory over Orlando on Tuesday night.

Mike D'Antoni, introduced as the Knicks' new coach Tuesday, won at least 54 games each of the last four seasons and earned coach of the year honors in 2005 with Phoenix. He replaces Isiah Thomas, who won 56 games total the last two seasons.

``Now we expect to do this. We're supposed to be here.'' - Richard Hamilton after Detroit became the first team to play in six consecutive conference finals since the Lakers from 1984-89, following a 91-86 victory over Orlando on Tuesday night.
