San Antonio heads into Saturday’s contest as a 5.5-point favorite over the visiting Pacers – marking the fifth consecutive matchup that the Spurs have been favored in.

While the total for this event currently sits at OU 224.5, which is indicative of the overall scoring output in the most recent meeting between these teams – with San Antonio and Indiana combining for 227 points in their lone matchup during last year’s regular season.

Pacers vs. Spurs Current Form-Last Game

The Spurs head into Saturday following SU losses in six of their last eight games – with San Antonio’s only victories during that timeframe coming against the Bulls and Kings.

DeMar DeRozan racked up 36 points on 14-27 from the field during San Antonio’s latest matchup against Atlanta. It still wasn’t enough to propel the Spurs to a victory though – as Clint Capela, Trae Young, and Bogdan Bogdanovic all chipped in 28 points apiece on the way to an overtime win for the Hawks.

Similarly, the Pacers head into Saturday’s matchup having lost four of their last six games – with Indiana’s only victories across that span coming against the Pistons and Mavericks.

Malcolm Brogdon sat out with hip soreness during Indiana’s matchup against Charlotte last night, which inevitably resulted in a third consecutive loss for Domantas Sabonis and company – as the Pacers starters shot a combined 19-48 from the field during a 17-point victory for the Hornets.

Sabonis exited and was unable to return due to an ankle injury during Indiana’s matchup against Charlotte last night – seriously jeopardizing his status for Saturday’s tilt with San Antonio.

Pacers vs. Spurs Head-to-Head

  • Mar. 2, 2020 - Pacers 116 at Spurs 111, Indiana -2, Over 220

The Pacers have won four of their last five regular season matchups against the Spurs – with San Antonio’s preceding victory over Indiana coming in a contest that Tyreke Evans and Darren Collison cracked the starting lineup in (Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner – out).

The most recent matchup between these teams took place back in March of last year though – which resulted in a five-point win for Indiana, as six different Pacers’ players managed to eclipse double-digit scoring in the victory.

Indiana Pacers Betting Outlook

Inside the Stats (2020-2021)

  • Overall: 21-26 SU, 18-29 ATS, 27-19-1 OU
  • Road: 13-12 SU, 12-13 ATS, 16-18-1 OU

Indiana heads into this contest having lost three consecutive games. Before that though, the Pacers experienced a decent amount of success towards the end of March – boasting wins in five of six contests prior to their most recent skid.

This year’s Pacers' team has significantly ramped up their pace of play compared to last year’s squad – currently running at the 9th fastest pace in the league (100.6), compared to last year’s squad that ranked 22nd in that department (99.4).

Indiana’s newfound expedited rhythm on offense consistently threw off the totals set for Pacers’ games in the beginning of the season – leading to the over holding a record of 27-19-1 in matchups containing Indiana so far this season.

Make note though, the total has stayed 'under' in three of the last four Pacers’ games.

San Antonio Spurs Betting Outlook

Inside the Stats (2020-2021)

  • Overall: 24-22 SU, 25-21 ATS, 21-25 OU
  • Home: 12-15 SU, 12-15 ATS, 12-15 OU

The Spurs overachieved expectations during the first half of this season – heading into the All-Star Break with a record of 19-13 SU and comfortably sitting in a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

San Antonio has fallen apart since the midway point in the season though – currently possessing a record of 6-8 SU following the break, despite being favored in over half of those matchups.

The Spurs have scored an average of 110.2 points per game across all their matchups so far this year, which ranks 22nd in the league in that department. Those low-scoring ways have translated to winning ‘under’ tickets in a hefty portion of San Antonio’s games this year too – with the ‘over’ currently sitting at 21-25 in Spurs’ games so far this season.

Player Prop Best Bet

Derrick White – Over 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (-104)

Derrick White has been the primary contributor from beyond the three-point line for San Antonio lately.

White has knocked down three or more three-point attempts in four of his last five games, which includes his 29-point performance on Thursday night that he managed to drill seven longballs in.

I’ll back White to have another solid night from behind the arc against the Pacers on Saturday night.

Pacers vs. Spurs Prediction

San Antonio and Indiana both head into Saturday’s matchup following a bumpy stretch of games, but the situation appears to only be getting worse for the Pacers – considering Sabonis exited Indiana’s most recent contest with an ankle injury, joining Brogdon and Warren on a talent-packed injury report ahead of tonight’s matchup.

I’ll lay the points with San Antonio here – especially after seeing how Indiana operated against the Hornets after Sabonis went down last night.

Score Prediction: Spurs 114, Pacers 102
Best Bet: San Antonio -5.5
