PLAYER UPDATES Provided By SportsBuff.com
Player: Keith Bulluck LB, Tennessee Titans 11/20/08, Time: 6:08 pm
 Status:
Probable
News: Bulluck practiced in full on Thursday for the first time in close to three weeks after injuring his ribs.
 Analysis:

Bullock will be in the lineup against the Jets on Sunday and is a solid IDP option. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Chris Cooley TE, Washington Redskins 11/18/08, Time: 1:43 pm
News: Cooley led the team with seven catches for 47 yards against Dallas. Cooley has been a very productive TE all season and is a solid No.1 again this week.
 Analysis:

Look for Cooley to have a decent game in Week 12 against Seattle this week. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Santana Moss WR, Washington Redskins 11/18/08, Time: 1:41 pm
News: Moss caught just five passes for 29 yards on Sunday and was shut down by Terrance Newman. Moss had a streak of three 100-yard games against Dallas snapped.
 Analysis:

Moss is still a must-start in all fantasy formats. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/18/08, Time: 1:40 pm
News: Portis was able to gut out the game on Sunday night and ended up with 68 yards rushing to go along with two catches for six yards. He was obviously still hurting during the game but did not appear to aggravate his knee injury. (SportsBuff.com)
 Analysis:

Monitor his health this week to see if he has returned to practice. He is a must-start when healthy and Washington must win to keep pace in their division. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Shawn Springs DB, Washington Redskins 11/16/08, Time: 9:33 am
News: Shawn Springs will return to the lineup tonight for Washington, enhancing an already solid pass defense. That makes things a little tougher for Tony Romo in his return to the field. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Jason Taylor DE, Washington Redskins 11/16/08, Time: 9:01 am
News: Jason Taylor will be in the lineup for Washington today. He has just one sack all season, though, and isn't a good IDP starter. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/16/08, Time: 8:49 am
News: Clinton Portis is still hoping to play tonight, though that's nothing to get excited about. Players tend to be the first to declare that they'll definitely be on the field, so it seems that even Portis realizes he's unlikely to be in there because of his sprained knee. Ladell Betts should get the start in his place but is a risky fantasy option in his first game back from his own knee injury. Portis owners who also happen to have Jamal Lewis could try to wait until tonight for official word on Portis. Most should go with someone else, though. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 11/15/08, Time: 12:31 pm
 Status:
Questionable
News: Vanden Bosch missed practice on Friday with the same injured groin that has been bugging him for a while. He's listed as questionable.
 Analysis:

Although he has started two of the past four games, Vanden Bosch has basically missed all four. He's not a safe play until he proves himself healthy through an entire game. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/15/08, Time: 12:30 pm
 Status:
Questionable
News: Portis did not practice on Friday and if he is active against Dallas on Sunday, it would only be in a limited capacity.
 Analysis:

With this news, Portis is a very risky start this week and his owners' should begin to look for other starting options right away. LaDell Betts should start against the Cowboys. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 11/15/08, Time: 12:21 pm
 Status:
Doubtful
News: Vanden Bosch did not practice this week due to an injured groin and is not expected to play Sunday against the Jaguars.
 Analysis:

Vanden Bosch started the season strong with three sacks in four games but has been unable to get back to 100 percent. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Shaun Alexander RB, Washington Redskins 11/14/08, Time: 11:18 am
News: Alexander could see some action in Week 11. The former MVP will start the game as the No. 2 running back assuming that starter Clinton Portis is on the shelf with an injured knee.
 Analysis:

Alexander is a risky play for Week 11 but keep your eye on him should he actually see some game time action on Sunday. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Ladell Betts RB, Washington Redskins 11/14/08, Time: 11:16 am
News: Betts has been out the past three weeks with a knee injury of his own but looks poised to get his first start of the season. He took all the reps with the No. 1 offense in practice on Thursday.
 Analysis:

Betts has always been a reliable back-up to Portis and looks to get his first start of the season in Week 11 against Dallas. He has always been a decent receiver out of the backfield and is a stable play if you need to start him. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/14/08, Time: 11:14 am
News: Portis looked very much the same in practice on Thursday and is extremely doubtful for Sunday against the Cowboys. Portis has been the No. 1 running back in the NFC to this point.
 Analysis:

Look for Portis to rest his ailing knee in Week 11 and to try to make it back into the line-up in Week 12. You might want to monitor his progress right up until game time to make sure he is not playing. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Ladell Betts RB, Washington Redskins 11/13/08, Time: 10:40 pm
 Status:
Questionable
News: Betts returned to practice Thursday after missing three games with a partially torn MCL. He was able to do enough while wearing a knee brace to get his performance deemed "encouraging" by Jim Zorn.
 Analysis:

Betts could very well start on Sunday night, as Portis missed practice today with his own knee injury. Betts would be a very risky fantasy play still, though, after missing so much time. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/13/08, Time: 10:24 pm
 Status:
Questionable
News: Coach Jim Zorn didn't have good things to say about Portis' health on Thursday. ?I was hoping today that there would be a little more optimism, and there?s not,? he said, according to The Associated Press. ?He?s still questionable. I would say there?s no change today. I was looking for another jump, but there wasn?t.?
 Analysis:

Unless something significantly changes for the better on Friday or Saturday, fantasy owners will have to set their lineups without the league's second-leading rusher. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Santana Moss WR, Washington Redskins 11/13/08, Time: 8:02 am
 Status:
Probable
News: Moss practiced in full on Wednesday and looks ready to go for Washington's Week 11 game against Dallas.
 Analysis:

Moss has had hamstring issues all season but seems to have put the issues behind him for now. Consider Moss a must-start against Dallas this Sunday. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/13/08, Time: 7:09 am
 Status:
Questionable
News: Coach Jim Zorn says that Portis will be a game-time decision this week. The back is not expected to practice until Friday because of a sprained MCL.
 Analysis:

Unfortunately for us, game time this week is Sunday night. Fantasy owners who have to set their lineups before the Thursday night game probably can't trust Portis to go, if they have another viable candidate. The rest can look for a signs before the 1 p.m. kickoffs on Sunday but might still be left to guess on his playing status. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/12/08, Time: 7:24 am
 Status:
Questionable
News: Portis is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a second-degree MCL sprain in his left knee.
 Analysis:

Portis is having trouble straightening his leg which is not good news at all. Keep your eye on the situation as the week progresses to see if the injury improves in time for Week 11. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Justin Gage WR, Tennessee Titans 11/11/08, Time: 9:08 am
News: Gage caught four balls for 47 yards and a touchdown at Chicago on Sunday.
 Analysis:

Take away the touchdown, and that's about what you can expect from Gage when he's healthy. And that's closer to the high end of his production. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Bo Scaife TE, Tennessee Titans 11/11/08, Time: 9:06 am
 Status:
Hot
News: Scaife caught 10 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.
 Analysis:

He's not likely to match that number of receptions again this season. With 29 catches over his past five games, though, Scaife has become a reliable fantasy tight end. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Brandon Jones WR, Tennessee Titans 11/11/08, Time: 9:04 am
 Status:
Hot
News: Jones caught eight passes for 82 yards in the Titans' win on Sunday. It was the third straight week in which he caught at least four balls.
 Analysis:

Those are the only three times this season, though, and Kerry Collins will not often attempt 41 throws in a game. Jones is an OK PPR option in a deep league, but he's not worth much attention in most formats. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Chris Johnson RB, Tennessee Titans 11/11/08, Time: 9:02 am
News: Johnson tallied just 23 total yards against Chicago on Sunday, carrying 14 times and catching two passes.
 Analysis:

He's bound to have a rough game here and there. Week 11 brings a much more favorable matchup in the form of the Jaguars, though. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: LenDale White RB, Tennessee Titans 11/11/08, Time: 9:01 am
 Status:
Steady
News: White picked up just 14 yards on 10 carries in Sunday's victory over the Bears, but he scored his 11th touchdown of the season.
 Analysis:

The yardage numbers are nearly irrelevant for White this season. His value lies in whether he reaches the end zone, and he has done so in all but two games this year. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kerry Collins QB, Tennessee Titans 11/11/08, Time: 8:58 am
News: With Chicago shutting down the Tennessee running game, it was Collins' turn to carry the offense in Sunday's victory. He threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns.
 Analysis:

Don't expect this outing to be a sign of things to come. It was Collins' first 200-yard performance of the season and the first time since Week 5 that he threw for any touchdowns in a game. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Keith Bulluck LB, Tennessee Titans 11/09/08, Time: 11:27 am
News: LB Keith Bulluck is active today. He still makes for a risky start at best. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 11/09/08, Time: 11:25 am
News: DE Kyle Vanden Bosch is inactive today. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 11/09/08, Time: 8:39 am
News: DE Kyle Vanden Bosch will be a game-time decision today, as the team will have to see how his injured groin holds up in pregame workouts. Vanden Bosch has essentially missed the past three games. He was only inactive for one, but he left early in the first quarter of each of the other two. He's not a strong IDP option today and shouldn't be back in lineups until we have reason to believe that his groin is significantly healthier. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Keith Bulluck LB, Tennessee Titans 11/09/08, Time: 8:37 am
News: OLB Keith Bulluck will be a game-time decision today in Chicago. He'll test out his injured ribcage to see if he can withstand the pain and play. For fantasy purposes, though, he should be on the bnech. Even if he feels well enough to start, one wrong move or shot to the ribs could end his day at any point. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/04/08, Time: 12:52 pm
News: Portis was once again solid in Week 9, but got no help from the rest of the Washington offense. Portis has been a fantasy stud so far this season.
 Analysis:

Look for Portis to try and get healthy in the bye week. When the redskins play, he must be in your line-up. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Santana Moss WR, Washington Redskins 11/04/08, Time: 12:50 pm
News: Moss had just two catches for 14 yards on Monday night. He has been nursing a strained hamstring and has been limited in games and practice.
 Analysis:

Keep an eye on Moss during the bye week to monitor his progress. If he gets healthy, he is a must start in all fantasy formats.

Player: Jason Campbell QB, Washington Redskins 11/04/08, Time: 12:48 pm
News: Welcome back to earth Jason Campbell. Pittsburgh gave him fits all night on Monday and he never looked like he found his rhythm.
 Analysis:

The overall health of Santana Moss will have much to do with the overall fantasy value of Jason Campbell. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Chris Johnson RB, Tennessee Titans 11/03/08, Time: 10:08 am
 Status:
Hot
News: Johnson finished with his third-lowest per-carry average of the season Sunday, but he put up 89 rushing yards, 72 receiving yards and his team's only touchdown in the overtime victory.
 Analysis:

It was the third game in a row in which Johnson scored and the fourth in the past five weeks. He's a weekly fantasy starter. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 11/02/08, Time: 11:00 am
News: As expected, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch is active and will start for the Titans today. His injured groin still makes him an iffy IDP proposition, though. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 11/02/08, Time: 9:49 am
News: DE Kyle Vanden Bosch remains listed as questionable for today's game against Green Bay, but he was back in full practice this week after missing essentially two games with a groin injury. He did start against the Chiefs two weeks ago but lasted just three downs before coming out. He's an iffy IDP starter, particularly against a Packers offense that doesn't give up a ton of sacks. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Santana Moss WR, Washington Redskins 11/02/08, Time: 8:48 am
News: Santana Moss is very iffy for Monday night with the hamstring injury he sustained in Week 8. If at all possible, you should probably go with another option, especially because Washington draws a tough matchup in the Steelers. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 11/02/08, Time: 8:46 am
News: Clinton Portis' practice limitations this week were more precautionary than indicative of his likelihood to play Monday night. He'll be in the lineup. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 10/31/08, Time: 9:31 pm
 Status:
Questionable
News: Portis was limited in practice all week by a gimpy ankle, but he's probable for the Monday night game.
 Analysis:

Expect him to play. Despite the tough matchup, it doesn't seem like a great idea to sit him. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 10/31/08, Time: 1:51 pm
 Status:
Probable
News: Vanden Bosch returned to full practice this week after essentially missing the past two games with a groin injury. It looks like he'll probably play on Sunday.
 Analysis:

The nearness of the groin issue and a less-than-favorable matchup with Green Bay leave the Titans right end as an unspectacular IDP option this week. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Chris Hope DB, Tennessee Titans 10/28/08, Time: 9:52 am
News: Hope grabbed both of the picks that Peyton Manning threw in Monday night's Titans victory.
 Analysis:

Hope doesn't make enough big plays to be all that worthwhile in IDP leagues. His tackle numbers are decent, but he ranks just 26th in the league among defensive backs in solo stops. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Justin Gage WR, Tennessee Titans 10/28/08, Time: 9:38 am
 Status:
Cold
News: Gage caught just one pass for six yards in his return to the lineup from a knee injury.
 Analysis:

At best, starting any Tennessee receiver -- and Gage is the most promising of the group -- is a roll of the dice. More realistically, it's just a bad idea. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Bo Scaife TE, Tennessee Titans 10/28/08, Time: 9:36 am
News: Scaife led the Titans with five catches for 44 yards in the Monday night win.
 Analysis:

Scaife has the most fantasy value among Tennessee's receiving options, but that's like being the best cricket player in Alabama. It doesn't say a whole lot for him, though he's an OK tight end choice. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kerry Collins QB, Tennessee Titans 10/28/08, Time: 9:33 am
News: Collins attempted a somewhat surprising 37 passes in the Monday night victory over the Colts, completing 24 for 193 yards.
 Analysis:

He's been pretty decent on the field this season, but Collins is no fantasy option. He has yet to reach 200 yards in a game and has tossed just three touchdown passes in seven outings. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Chris Johnson RB, Tennessee Titans 10/28/08, Time: 9:30 am
News: Johnson took his 19 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown against Indy on Monday night. He added four catches for 19 more yards.
 Analysis:

Although fantasy owners can't really complain about the performance, it was somewhat unimpressive against a weak Colts run defense. Nevertheless, Johnson continues to be a strong fantasy play and has scored a decent amount despite losing goal-line carries to LenDale White. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: LenDale White RB, Tennessee Titans 10/28/08, Time: 9:27 am
 Status:
Hot
News: White took his 10 carries for just 13 yards but scored two touchdowns against the Colts in the Monday night victory.
 Analysis:

White leads the league with 10 touchdowns, making him the top-scoring non-kicker in the NFL. Despite his low yardage totals, he's an every-week starter on a Tennessee offense that finds the end zone surprisingly often. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Shaun Suisham K, Washington Redskins 10/26/08, Time: 2:56 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Suisham hit four of his five field goal attempts and added a PAT for 13 points.
 Analysis:

The Swisher, as local fans call him, has had a nice season so far. He has hit 12 of his last 14 field goal attempts and has scored in double digits four times. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Chris Cooley TE, Washington Redskins 10/26/08, Time: 2:54 pm
 Status:
Steady
News: Cooley had six catches for 74 yards against the Lions.
 Analysis:

Cooley has not had a great year yet. He has been decent in most weeks, but only had one TD catch. Keep playing him and you may get dividends. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Santana Moss WR, Washington Redskins 10/26/08, Time: 2:52 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Moss had a huge game, especially for leagues that give bonuses for long TD's. He had a 50-yard TD catch and an 80-yard punt return for a score.
 Analysis:

He had 140 yards receiving on nine catches and now has five TD receptions on the season. He makes for a risky every week play because he disappears sometimes, but against a team like the Lions, you should have played him. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Clinton Portis RB, Washington Redskins 10/26/08, Time: 2:51 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Portis had his fifth straight 100+ game against the Lions.
 Analysis:

Portis was held out of the endzone, but he has emerged as fantasy's best runner. Unfortunately, the Skins face Pittsburgh next week, but you still can't sit Clinton. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Jason Campbell QB, Washington Redskins 10/26/08, Time: 2:49 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Campbell was a picture of efficiency against the Lions. He connected on 23 of 28 passes for 328 yards and TD.
 Analysis:

Campbell seems to be growing into a fantasy relevant QB. The Lions made for a tasty opponent and the Skins QB took advantage. He only had two TD's in the last four weeks, but he makes for a good occasional starter. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kyle Vanden Bosch DE, Tennessee Titans 10/26/08, Time: 12:30 pm
News: DE Kyle Vanden Bosch returned to practice Saturday and hopes to play Monday night. He started last week, though, and was only able to make it through three plays before coming out. He is not a safe IDP option this week. (SportsBuff.com)
