PLAYER UPDATES Provided By SportsBuff.com
Player: Kurt Warner QB, Arizona Cardinals 11/20/08, Time: 12:41 pm
News: Warner has been nothing short of spectacular in the 2008 season. He leads the QB charge with 223 points and averages over 22 points per game.
 Analysis:

Warner shows no signs of slowing down and has made some excellent veteran throws this year. He gets rid of the ball quickly and rarely turns it over. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Larry Fitzgerald WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/20/08, Time: 12:39 pm
News: Fitzgerald is a top tier fantasy receiver and is a must-play in all formats. He should have another good statistical game in Week 12.
 Analysis:

Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin are fantasy studs and are a must-play in any format. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Edgerrin James RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/20/08, Time: 12:37 pm
News: Edgerrin James has been denied his request to be traded from Arizona. James is the No. 3 back in Arizona and has little fantasy value.
 Analysis:

Tim Hightower and J.J. Arrington are ahead of James on the depth chart. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Reggie Bush RB, New Orleans Saints 11/20/08, Time: 6:46 am
 Status:
Questionable
News: Bush, who is coming back from a knee injury, was limited in practice on Wednesday.
 Analysis:

Bush remains questionable to play in Week 12 against the Packers. However, the game is on Monday so Bush will have an extra day to rest the knee. Stay tuned. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints 11/20/08, Time: 6:44 am
News: Colston was limited in practice on Wednesday as he continues to rest a sore knee.
 Analysis:

Colston played last week despite being limited in practice all week and is expected to be in the starting lineup aganist the Packers on Sunday. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Drew Brees QB, New Orleans Saints 11/19/08, Time: 10:39 am
News: Brees is racking up fantasy yards at a break-neck pace but this week the very aggressive Green Bay defense comes to town. It is a prime time game and Brees seems to shine in bigger games.
 Analysis:

Consider him a decent play to No. 1 QB but with some reservations. The return of Reggie Bush should open the field some for Brees. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Deuce McAllister RB, New Orleans Saints 11/19/08, Time: 10:35 am
News: McAllister has scored a touchdown in three straight games. The return of Reggie Bush will cut into his playing time.
 Analysis:

Consider Deuce a low-end No. 2 option as he will likely only see action in short yardage situations and when his team is near the goal line. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Pierre Thomas RB, New Orleans Saints 11/19/08, Time: 10:34 am
News: Thomas had 144 yards of total offense in Week 11 against Kansas City and was the beneficiary of a lot of work with Reggie Bush on the shelf.
 Analysis:

Thomas will likely see less action with the return of Reggie Bush. Thomas will be used in spot-situations and is a low-end No. 2 option at best. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Lance Moore RB, New Orleans Saints 11/19/08, Time: 10:32 am
News: Moore has scored a touchdown in two consecutive games and has had over 75 yards receiving in three straight games.
 Analysis:

Consider Moore a risky play because he plays against a very aggressive Green Bay secondary that has shut down many top-end receivers. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: J.J. Arrington RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/18/08, Time: 1:52 pm
News: Arrington is beginning to show up on the radar with the demotion of Edgerrin James. He scored two touchdowns in Week 11 and led all Arizona rushers with 40 yards.
 Analysis:

Arizona has to play the Giants this week, so the match-up is less than stellar but monitor Arrington closely as he may get more work down the stretch. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Anquan Boldin WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/18/08, Time: 1:50 pm
News: Boldin had another huge week registering 13 catches for 186 yards. He was held out of the end zone for the first time in four weeks.
 Analysis:

Boldin is a statistical wonder this season. The only thing that has stopped him was the early injury, otherwise he has been lights-out. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kurt Warner QB, Arizona Cardinals 11/18/08, Time: 1:49 pm
News: Warner just keeps on racking up huge fantasy numbers week after week. He threw for 395 yards in Week 11 and now has four 300 yard passing games in a row.
 Analysis:

Warner is simply a must-play in all fantasy formats. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 6:18 pm
News: Colston had three catches for 30 yards on Sunday against the Chiefs.
 Analysis:

A very disappointing day for Colston, who was coming of a seven catch, 140 yard game last week. Colston was expected to produce better results against a weak Kansas City defense. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Deuce McAllister RB, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 6:15 pm
News: McAllister had only 18 yards on eight carries but found the end zone in a 30-20 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
 Analysis:

Pierre Thomas saw the majority of the carries for the Saints against Kansas City. With Reggie Bush expected to be back in Week 12 against the Packers, McAllister should return back to your bench. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Jeremy Shockey TE, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 6:12 pm
News: Shockey had six catches for 39 yards on Sunday against the Chiefs.
 Analysis:

It was nice to see Shockey once again record over five catches but the yardage is still disappointing. Shockey has not had a good year with the Saints and should be benched next week against the Packers if you have a better option. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Lance Moore WR, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 4:11 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Moore had another outstanding game against the Chiefs. He caught eight balls for 102 yards and a TD.
 Analysis:

Moore has gone from a who dat to a must have. He now has 52 catches and TD's in three straight games. People worried that Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey would eat into his opportunities should be calmed. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Pierre Thomas RB, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 4:09 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Thomas got the majority of the work for the Saints against Kansas City and was productive. He ran for 88 yards and a score and hauled in four passes for 56 yards.
 Analysis:

Thomas has been effective when given an opportunity, but has been buried behind Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush for the majority of the season. Thomas should get more opportunities in the rest of the season. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Drew Brees QB, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 4:07 pm
 Status:
Steady
News: Despite his team scoring 30 points, Brees had just one TD and 266 yards. He was also picked off once.
 Analysis:

Brees has three less than stellar games (this one, against the Panthers, and earlier in the season against the Redskins) and all of them have come on the road. Dome passers are usually less effective in the outdoors (see, Peyton Manning this season). (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Reggie Bush RB, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 11:22 am
News: As expected, Reggie Bush is inactive today. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Jeremy Shockey TE, New Orleans Saints 11/16/08, Time: 10:10 am
News: Jeremy Shockey is reportedly out of favor in New Orleans, losing passing looks to Billy Miller. Pro Football Weekly reports that the team trusts Miller more in the 2-minute offense and that he has a better grasp of the playbook. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Reggie Bush RB, New Orleans Saints 11/15/08, Time: 12:39 pm
 Status:
Out
News: Despite early optimism for a return this week, Bush will miss another game because of the knee he had surgery on. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints 11/15/08, Time: 12:33 pm
 Status:
Probable
News: Colston practiced on a limited basis for the third straight day on Friday but is listed as probably for Week 11 against the Chargers.
 Analysis:

Colston has a favorable match up against the Chiefs and should be started in all leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Neil Rackers K, Arizona Cardinals 11/14/08, Time: 11:27 am
News: Rackers had three field goals and two extra points in Week 10. The Arizona offense has been amazing so far this season and Rackers has been a consistent kicker.
 Analysis:

Look for Rackers to continue to rack up points. He is an excellent No. 1 option at kicker in all formats. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Steve Breaston WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/14/08, Time: 11:26 am
News: Breaston has not missed a beat since being moved from No. 2 to No. 3 receiver with the return of Anquan Bolden. Breaston has seven or more catches in five of his last six games.
 Analysis:

Arizona tosses the ball around a lot and Breaston has been getting the highest amount of catches in that potent offense. He is a solid No. 2 receiver this week. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Edgerrin James RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/14/08, Time: 11:24 am
News: James only got two carries for four yards against San Francisco in Week 10. He has lost the bulk of his carries to rookie Tim Hightower.
 Analysis:

The Edgerrin James era in Arizona appears to be over. Look for him to get limited work for as long as Tim Hightower stays healthy. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Drew Brees QB, New Orleans Saints 11/12/08, Time: 12:20 pm
News: Brees threw for over 400 yards for the second time this season in Week 10, and attempted an amazing 58 attempts in the loss in Atlanta.
 Analysis:

Brees is a fantasy stud. Barring an injury, you should play him in all formats for the rest of the year. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints 11/12/08, Time: 12:18 pm
News: Much like last season, Colston was injured early in the season and seems to be coming on as the season progresses. In Week 10, Colston caught seven passes for 140 yards.
 Analysis:

Consider Colston a No. 1 receiver this week as the Saints play the Chiefs. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Reggie Bush RB, New Orleans Saints 11/12/08, Time: 12:16 pm
News: Bush is expecting to play in Week 11 against Kansas City. He has been out for three weeks with an injured knee.
 Analysis:

Keep an eye on Bush in practice this week. If he is on the field he is a must-play against a terrible Kansas City team. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Tim Hightower RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 2:10 pm
News: Hightower only had 50 yards of total offense against San Francisco on Monday night. He still remains ahead of Edgerrin James on the depth chart and Arizona has moved the ball all season.
 Analysis:

Consider Hightower a decent No.2 RB as the Cardinals take on Seattle this week. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Anquan Boldin WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 2:07 pm
News: Bolden had two touchdowns on Monday night and has showed no ill-effects from the fractured sinus he suffered earlier in the season.
 Analysis:

Bolden and teammate Larry Fitzgerald, are going to be catching touchdown passes for the rest of the season so keep him in your line-up (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kurt Warner QB, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 2:03 pm
News: Warner threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns on Monday night against San Francisco. The ageless Warner has so many offensive weapons that it would seem that he will continue to register huge stats every week.
 Analysis:

Warner has looked every bit like the MVP quarterback he once was. He is a must-start in all fantasy formats. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Edgerrin James RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 7:48 am
 Status:
Cold
News: James had only two carries for four yards in Arizona's win over the 49ers on Monday.
 Analysis:

James continues his downward spiral into fantasy irrelevance as he has carried the ball only nine times in his last three games. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Anquan Boldin WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 7:44 am
 Status:
Hot
News: Boldin caught seven passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns in Arizona's victory over San Francisco on Monday.
 Analysis:

Boldin had yet another huge game for the Cardinals and now has a touchdown in six straight games, with ten touchdowns over that span. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Tim Hightower RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 7:42 am
News: Hightower ran for only 22 yards on 13 carries against San Francisco on Monday.
 Analysis:

Hightower was coming off a 100-yard performance from a week ago but was unable to get going, averaging only 1.7 yards per carry. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Larry Fitzgerald WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 7:39 am
 Status:
Steady
News: Fitzgerald had eight receptions for only 49 yards but added a touchdown in Arizona's victory over the 49ers on Monday.
 Analysis:

Even with a quiet night, Fitzgerald was able to record his sixth touchdown pass of the season. (SortsBuff.com)

Player: Steve Breaston WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 7:35 am
News: Breaston caught seven passes for 121 yards in Arizona's 29-24 victory over San Francisco on Monday.
 Analysis:

Even with Anquan Boldin back in the lineup, Breaston continues to be an important part of the Cardinals' offense. Breaston has at least seven receptions in five of his last six games. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Kurt Warner QB, Arizona Cardinals 11/11/08, Time: 7:33 am
 Status:
Hot
News: Warner completed 32 of 42 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns in Arizona's 29-24 victory over the 49ers on Monday.
 Analysis:

Warner has thrown for over 300 yards in three straight games and has at least two touchdown passes in nine straight games. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Lance Moore WR, New Orleans Saints 11/09/08, Time: 5:34 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Moore continues to be a solid WR play. He had six receptions for 76 yards and a TD.
 Analysis:

Moore has four TD's and at least 75 yards in four of his last six games. He has made for an excellent waiver wire add and should remain a good flex option the rest of the way. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints 11/09/08, Time: 5:32 pm
 Status:
Hot
News: Colston had a day reminiscent of 2007 with seven catches for 140 yards.
 Analysis:

For owners who drafted Colston in the early going, they have not received much for their faith. Colston still has half a season to do some damage. Play him. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Deuce McAllister RB, New Orleans Saints 11/09/08, Time: 5:28 pm
 Status:
Cold
News: McAllister had just 18 yards on five carries against the Falcons.
 Analysis:

It was McAllister's quietest day since Week Five. He had been a decent start until this week, but the Saints got behind and had to rely on the pass. That means little action for Deuce. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Drew Brees QB, New Orleans Saints 11/09/08, Time: 5:25 pm
 Status:
Steady
News: Brees had his biggest yardage day of the year with 422 yards. He added two TD's but had three interceptions.
 Analysis:

The Saints went away from the running game even more than usual in trying to come back against the Falcons. Brees put up 58 passes. He is the best QB option at this time. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Leonard Pope TE, Arizona Cardinals 11/09/08, Time: 11:03 am
News: The Cardinals tight end situation is still cloudy this week. Leonard Pope is expected to be back in uniform, but will not be 100 percent. Fellow tight end Ben Patrick is also hobbled thanks to a bum knee.
Player: Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints 11/09/08, Time: 8:06 am
News: Marques Colston had an extra week to rest his surgically repaired thumb, thanks to the bye, and says that he has full confidence in it now. He says he'll play a bigger role on offense this week and is worth taking a shot on against the Falcons today. (SportsBuff.com)
Player: Anquan Boldin WR, Arizona Cardinals 11/06/08, Time: 11:38 am
News: Bolden is a fantasy stud. He had 83 yards and a touchdown last week and the Cardinals play the 49ers this week so more catches are going to happen.
 Analysis:

Bolden remains a must-start along with his teammate Larry Fitzgerald and his quarterback Kurt Warner. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Tim Hightower RB, Arizona Cardinals 11/06/08, Time: 11:36 am
News: The Tim Hightower era in Arizona may already be upon us. In his first official start last week he went for 109 yards and a touchdown.
 Analysis:

The Edge did not register a carry in Week 9 so consider the starting RB in Arizona officially belonging to Hightower. He is a solid No. 2 fantasy option. (SportBuff.com)

Player: Kurt Warner QB, Arizona Cardinals 11/06/08, Time: 11:34 am
News: Warner had another monster game in Week 9 with 342 yards and two touchdowns. Simply stated, Warner is having an MVP type season.
 Analysis:

Keep Warner in your line-up in any fantasy format. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Reggie Bush RB, New Orleans Saints 11/06/08, Time: 11:25 am
 Status:
Doubtful
News: Bush probably won't play this week in Atlanta but expects to be back for the Chiefs in Week 11.
 Analysis:

"Thank goodness," say his owners. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Deuce McAllister RB, New Orleans Saints 11/04/08, Time: 12:46 pm
News: McAllister got the bulk of the carries in Week 8 in England. As long as he is available and as long as Reggie Bush remains sidelined with a knee injury, he is a good option at RB.
 Analysis:

McAllister is waiting to see what happens with his pending disciplinary issues stemming from the masking agent issue. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Jeremy Shockey TE, New Orleans Saints 11/04/08, Time: 12:39 pm
News: Shockey was very quiet in England in Week 8. He caught only one ball and had said that he thought he may have tried to return too soon from his sports hernia.
 Analysis:

Keep an eye on Shockey. He is a huge difference maker when he is in the game, but he may be a game time decision on Sunday. (SportsBuff.com)

Player: Drew Brees QB, New Orleans Saints 11/04/08, Time: 12:33 pm
News: Drew Brees looks to get back on task in Week 10. The Saints travel to Atlanta in a game that should feature a ton of offense.
 Analysis:

Brees has had over 300 yards passing in all but two games, so far this season. Look for him to have a nice statistical game on Sunday. (SportsBuff.com)
