Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. Unfortunately the club won't have his services for the entire upcoming season after the former Arizona State standout tore his Achilles tendon.
The injury is expected to have a long recovery but Suggs was quoted that he has no intention of sitting out this year. He said, "Absolutely," when asked about playing in the 2012-13 pro football season and projected his return by November.
Regardless of his return, Senior Odds consultant Mike Pierce of Sportsbook told VegasInsider.com that they adjusted all of their numbers on the Ravens due to the setback to Suggs.
Pierce explained, "With the injury, we just moved Ravens from -7.5 to -7 vs. the Bengals in Week 1. Also, Baltimore has been dropped 12/1 to 15/1 odds to win the Super Bowl and 5/1 to 6/1 odds for the AFC Championship."
