Several teams that started slow out of the gate have come back to life in the NFL, while others began with promise and have since fallen on their face. We'll check in with the weekly update of where teams sit relative to their posted season win total and see if they are on pace to break or fall below the number. This week, we'll take a look at three clubs that are going in significantly different directions.

San Diego Chargers (4-3, 7 ½ win total)

The Chiefs have already eclipsed their season win total of 6 ½ with a 7-0 start, but the Chargers have some work to do to catch both Kansas City and Denver in the AFC West race. San Diego finally won consecutive games for the first time this season by beating Indianapolis and Jacksonville in a six-day span to forge above the .500 mark. Following their bye this week, the Lightning Bolts play three of their next four games on the road, including trips to Washington and Kansas City. Also sandwiched in there is a home contest with the Broncos on November 10. The good news for San Diego is its December slate, which includes four home games, while closing the season at home against Kansas City.

Carolina Panthers (3-3, 7 win total)

The Panthers dropped their first two games of the season, but have stormed back to win three of their past four. However, Carolina has beaten three below .500 teams in this span (Giants, Rams, and Vikings), while not playing a tough schedule at all outside of Seattle in the opening week. After Carolina battles winless Tampa Bay this Thursday on the road, the Panthers will endure a tough three-week stretch against the Falcons, 49ers, and Patriots. The Panthers' chances at a .500 season will also be challenged with two meetings against the first-place Saints in the final four weeks of the season.

Houston Texans (2-5, 10 ½ win total)

The two-time defending AFC South champions started the season with a bang at 2-0 after rallying past the Chargers and Titans. Houston hasn't won a game since knocking off Tennessee in overtime back on September 15, losing five straight contests, including three consecutive defeats to NFC West opponents (Seattle, San Francisco, and St. Louis). The good news for the Texans is their conference record is 2-2, but Houston needs to rebound after the bye with four of five games coming at Reliant Stadium. For the exception of a road trip to Arizona, the Texans take on the Colts, Raiders, Jaguars, and Patriots at home from now until December 1, as Houston needs to put together some kind of winning streak to salvage it season.

Below is a list of all 32 teams in the NFL and if they project to finish OVER or UNDER their posted win total.
