Trends to Watch
-- The Eagles are 3-5 on the season and all three wins have come on the road. At home, Philadelphia is now 0-4, three of the losses by eight points or more.
-- After losing to 49-9 to the Bengals, the New York Jets are 0-4 after a win this season and the offense has been held to 10, 13, 6 and 9 points.
-- The Jaguars are 0-8 but they won’t lose next week since they’re on bye. In two weeks, they’ll head to Tennessee.
-- The Chiefs are 2-3 ATS at home and the two covers were closer than the final margin showed against the N.Y. Giants (31-7) and Oakland Raiders (24-7).
-- The Dolphins have dropped four straight after starting the season 3-0. Miami has allowed 20-plus points in six consecutive games.
Dallas (ML) – The Cowboys (+140) needed one more first down to seal the game but still held a six-point (30-24) lead with less than a minute left. Detroit QB Matthew Stafford moved the team 80 yards with no timeouts and capped off the victory with a one-yard touchdown plunge.
Under Washington-Denver – The total closed at 58 points. The game was knotted 7-7 at halftime before the Broncos outscored the Redskins 38-14 in the final 30 minutes. The second-half total was 28 ½ points.
Under Dallas-Detroit – The total closed at 51 ½ points. The Cowboys led 13-7 entering the fourth quarter. The Lions outscored Dallas 24-17 in the final 15 minutes.
Over Miami-New England– The total closed at 46. Miami led 17-3 at halftime and was outscored 24-0 in the second-half by the Patriots. The Dolphins missed a field goal and had one blocked as the Patriots held on for a 27-17 victory.
Washington + 11 ½ - The Redskins led 21-7 early in the third quarter before the Broncos closed the game with 38 unanswered points.
