NFL Games to Watch - Week 10

The second half of the NFL season is now upon us and there are several big-name teams who need to really step up in the final weeks of the season if they are to be part of the playoff picture.

The reality here is that the good teams are starting to separate, which means that the number of available playoff spots in both conferences is starting to shrink. It’s another great looking schedule for Week 10 in the NFL, but we have narrowed it down to 4 games that we really like the look of.

Let’s take a closer look at those match-ups, with predictions for each with all the odds, props and futures offered by

Carolina Panthers (+175) at Pittsburgh Steelers (-210)

We have had some less than stellar match-ups in the primetime games this season, but this one certainly does not disappoint. The Panthers come into this one with a 6-3 record, yet they are still looking at a Wild Card spot given how good the Saints have been this season. Carolina have done a great job of keeping pace with the Saints in the NFC South, but its beginning to look like a losing battle. They will be facing the Steelers this week, a team that is starting to get on a roll now that the defense has started showing up. This could prove to be the best game on the schedule this week, with the Steelers taking advantage of home field.

New Orleans Saints (-220) at Cincinnati Bengals (+180)

The opening week loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is now well in the rearview mirror, as the Saints have now ripped off 7 straight wins, with the latest being a win over the previously undefeated LA Rams. New Orleans will take their show on the road this week to face a Bengals team that is pushing the Steelers all the way in the AFC North. The biggest issue that Cincinnati have right now is the loss of A.J. Green to injury for potentially the next few weeks. Not having your top receiver available in a game against a high-powered offensive team like the Saints is always bad news. A road win for New Orleans here.

Seattle Seahawks (+400) at Los Angeles Rams (-500)

Just when it looked as though the Rams were destined to go unbeaten in the regular season, they run into the battering ram that is the New Orleans Saints. It is going to be interesting to see how the Rams rebound from taking their first loss of the season, although the talent level they have available to them suggests that they will be just fine. Next up is a divisional game against a Seahawks team that dropped back to .500 after a loss to the Chargers last weekend. The Seahawks will be a handful for the Rams, but you have to like Gurley and company to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys (+220) at Philadelphia Eagles (-260)

It’s a little hard to believe, but at least one of these teams is going to miss out on the playoffs this season. The most obvious candidate would be the Cowboys, as they fell to 3-5 on the season after losing to the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. The Eagles are sitting at 4-4, but they are still trailing the Washington Redskins at the top of the NFC East. This division is still tight, though, and likely to go down to the wire, although it will likely end up being a 2-horse race. The Eagles stay part of that race with the win here.
