Week 7 Notes

-- Home teams went 4-4 in Week 7

-- Favorites went 6-2 in Week 7

-- The underdogs that cashed were New Castle United (+220) and West Ham United (+750).

-- There was one draw in Week 7

-- For the second consecutive week, the ‘over’ went 6-4 in the EPL.

League Notes

-- Arsenal saw its five-game winning streak come to an end in Week 7 as it earned a road draw (1-1) against West Bromwich Albion.

-- Liverpool notched its second straight 3-1 victory in the EPL and is now tied with Arsenal at the top of the table with 16 points.

-- The biggest surprise of the EPL this season has been Southampton, who is tied with Chelsea for third place with 14 points (4-2-1). The club hasn’t allowed a goal in four games and has only surrendered two on the season.

-- Manchester City and Manchester City both captured victories in Week 7 after losing as healthy underdogs the previous week.

La Liga

Week 7 Notes

The below results cover games played from Oct. 4 and Oct. 6

-- Home teams went 7-2 in Week 7

-- Favorites went 7-2

--Two clubs currently in the relegation zone captured nice victories as underdogs – Ray Vallecano (+180) and Osasuna (+480)

--There was one draw in Week 7 – Athletic Bilbao 1 Valencia 1

-- After watching the ‘under’ go 16-4 in Week 6, the ‘over’ came back with a 5-3-2 mark last weekend.

League Notes

-- Barcelona and Atletico Madrid both improved to 8-0 last week. They are tied for first place with 24 points but Barcelona leads with a goal differential of 22-15

-- Real Madrid captured three road points with some late luck, defeating Levante 3-2 at Ciutat de Valencia

-- Almeria is the only team in La Liga that hasn’t won a game (0-3-5) this season
