Chelsea draws; Liverpool, Southampton win

LONDON (AP) - Chelsea took until stoppage time to salvage a tie against West Bromwich Albion, while Liverpool and Southampton posted big wins in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Luis Suarez's two goals powered Liverpool to a 4-0 victory over Fulham, and Southampton easily beat Hull 4-1 to extend its impressive start to the season.

Chelsea fell to fourth place after a 2-2 tie at home.

Goals from Shane Long and Stephane Sessegnon put West Brom on course for its first win at Chelsea in 35 years. But Steven Reid was penalized for fouling Ramires in the fourth minute of stoppage time, and Eden Hazard tied the score from the penalty spot.

Manager Jose Mourinho's 65-game unbeaten league home record at Chelsea was looking in danger until referee Andre Marriner pointed to the spot in stoppage time.

There were no goals, though, at Selhurst Park as last-place Crystal Palace held fifth-place Everton to end a seven-match losing streak. U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard started for Everton despite hitting his head before the game when he walked into the side mirror of the team bus.

At Villa Park, Aston Vila's four-game scoring drought ended with a 2-0 win over Cardiff.

Norwich staged a second-half comeback to beat West Ham 3-1 and ease the immediate pressure on manager Chris Hughton.

Arsenal will finish the weekend atop the standings no matter what happens in its game against Manchester United on Sunday.

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Cristiano Ronaldo scored another hat trick in Real Madrid's 5-1 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday, as the Portugal forward extended his scoring run to nine goals in his last four games.

Ronaldo opened the scoring, adding another goal from the penalty spot and a third with a well-placed free kick. Karim Benzema also kept up his good form by scoring, while Gareth Bale set up Sami Khedira for a goal.

Ronaldo has eight multi-goal performances, including three hat tricks, in 17 matches for Madrid this season.

Athletic Bilbao rallied past Levante 2-1, and Elche tied 1-1 at Getafe.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Bayern Munich set a Bundesliga record and opened up a four-point lead by beating Augsburg 3-0 on Saturday. Borussia Dortmund lost 2-1 in Wolfsburg.

Goals from Jerome Boateng, Franck Ribery and Thomas Mueller extended Bayern's unbeaten run to a record 37 matches.

Bayern's victory broke Hamburg's 36-match unbeaten run from January 1982 to January 1983. Bayern last lost on Oct. 28, 2012, 2-1 against Leverkusen in Munich.

With 32 points in 12 matches, Pep Guardiola has the best start of all time of a coach in the Bundesliga.

Son Heung-min scored a hat trick against his former team for Bayer Leverkusen to beat Hamburger SV 5-3.

Nuremberg lost 3-1 to Borussia Moenchengladbach to extend its winless run to 12 matches, while Schalke beat Werder Bremen by the same score.

Adrian Ramos scored twice to secure Hertha Berlin's 3-2 victory in Hoffenheim, after the visitors squandered a two-goal lead.

PARIS (AP) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a hat trick as Paris Saint-Germain beat Nice 3-1 in the French league on Saturday.

Ibrahimovic converted a cross from Gregory Van der Wiel in the 39th minute before scoring from the penalty spot in the 57th.

PSG is the only French club still undefeated this season, while Nice's third straight loss dropped it to 12th place.

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) - Celtic opened up a five-point lead in its Scottish title defense after beating Ross County 4-1, while nearest challenger Aberdeen lost 3-1 to Hearts on Saturday.

Inverness beat Hibernian 2-0.
