Liverpool (-185) began Matchday 18 with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton as a home favorite on Friday.

Saturday’s action began early with Arsenal (-476) cruising to a 3-1 win over Burnley as a home favorite.

The afternoon session saw a couple huge upsets take place, the first coming at Etihad Stadium as Crystal Palace (+1500) stunned Manchester City with a 3-2 win as a road underdog.

Leicester City (+868) also connected as a live ‘dog when it defeated Chelsea 1-0 from Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United (-188) helped ‘chalk’ bettors chasing late as it dominated Cardiff City for a 5-1 win as a road favorite. It was the first match played for the Red Devils under new head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. 

Sunday’s lone game watched Tottenham (+109) dominated Everton with a 6-2 road win from Goodison Park. The Spurs led 3-1 at halftime and duplicated that effort in the final 45 minutes.

After losing its first league game of the season this past Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund (-190) rebounded with a 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.

Visitors showed up strong on Saturday with a 4-2 record and three of those teams were favored.

Bayern Munich (-222) showed its muscle again with a 3-0 victory at Eintracht Frankfurt. Two of the goals came late in the second-half but the ‘under’ (3 ½) still connected.

Fortuna Dusseldorf (+187) was the lone underdog to win on Saturday as it stopped Hannover 96 away from home.

Wolfsburg (+170) outlasted FC Augsburg 3-2 on Sunday as a slight road favorite (+170).

Mainz managed to surprise TSG Hoffenheim with a 1-1 draw (+350) on the road to close Matchday 17.

Serie A – Italy

Matchday 17 had all 10 games played on Saturday afternoon.

Juventus (-263) continue to pull away from the pack as it handed struggling Roma another setback, this one a 1-0 decision.

Upsets included Genoa (+316) over Atalanta as a home underdog while Sampdoria (+187) doubled-up Empoli 4-2 as a mile road ‘dog.

The combined six goals in that game was the highest outcome of the day and was one of only three games to cash ‘over’ tickets.

Ligue 1 finally got back to its routine in Matchday 19 as no games were postponed.

Saturday’s card watched home favorites go 4-2 and all of the results ended in clean sheets with different outcomes (1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0).

Paris Saint-Germain (-320) was the 1-0 winner as it earned a decision over FC Nantes while Stade Rennes (-133) cruised past Nimes 4-0.

EA Guingamp (+280) was the latest team to knock off AS Monaco as a road underdog when it earned a 2-0 road win.

Toulouse (+425) pulled off the largest upset on Saturday with a 2-1 win at Lille as a road underdog.

Sunday’s finale saw Amiens AC and Bordeaux play to a 1-1 draw (+221).

La Liga – Spain

Deportivo Alaves (+415) began Matchday 17 with a bang as it blanked Real Sociedad 1-0 on the road as a heavy underdog.

The low-scoring run continued Saturday in La Liga as the ‘under’ posted a 4-0 record.

Barcelona (-769) posted a 2-0 win over Celta Da Vigo but never came close to going ‘over’ (4) as it was held scoreless in the second-half.

Atletico Madrid (-232) also connected as a home favorite with a 1-0 win over Espanyol.

Rayo Vallecano (+107) and Valencia (-227) both posted 2-1 victories on Sunday as home favorites over Levante and Huesca respectively.

Villareal and Read Madrid will play a make-up game from Matchday 17 on Thursday January 3, 2019.
