Manchester City to play at Faeroes

NYON, Switzerland (AP) -Manchester City will travel to the Faeroe Islands in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup, Europe's No. 2 club tournament.
City, which has spent the summer pursuing Barcelona's Ronaldinho, visits Streymur for the first-leg match on July 17, according to Tuesday's draw. The return leg is on July 31 at Barnsley.
City of Manchester Stadium - which could fit the entire Faeroes population of around 48,000 people - is unavailable because the turf is being relaid after a Bon Jovi concert.
In qualifying for the Champions League, 2007-8 UEFA Cup finalist Glasgow Rangers was drawn to face Lithuanian champion Kaunas or Andorra's Santa Coloma in the second qualifying round. Turkey's Fenerbahce, a 2007-8 Champions League quarterfinalist, was drawn to Hungarian champion MTK The Turkish club's coach may be Luis Aragones, who led Spain to the European Championship title.
