Edu completes Rangers transfer

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -United States midfielder Maurice Edu completed his move to Scoland's Glasgow Rangers on Friday after being granted a British work permit.
Major League Soccer's Toronto FC agreed last week to sell the 22-year-old for $5 million, and the Edu signed a five-year contract with Rangers.
``I'm excited about this new chapter in my career,'' Edu said Friday. ``I will miss Toronto, and the team's amazing supporters and fans. Toronto FC will always have special meaning for me because it's the club that gave me my professional start.''
Edu join fellow American DaMarcus Beasley in the Rangers midfield.
``Maurice is a talented young player and this move is a wonderful opportunity for him,'' Toronto manager Mo Johnston said.
