City had rallied from two goals down to lead 3-2, but Kevin McDonald's late strike gave Burnley its first point on the road.

City has not won since September and this latest draw comes before a visit next week to Abu Dhabi to meet club owner Sheikh Mansour. He has lavished more than $300 million on the team since last season.

Tottenham rebounded at home from back-to-back losses to beat Sunderland 2-0 on goals by Robbie Keane and Tom Huddlestone. Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent missing a penalty kick for Sunderland.

As City slipped to sixth place, Arsenal moved into second by easing to a 4-1 victory at Wolverhampton and Aston Villa climbed to fifth by routing Bolton 5-1.

First-place Chelsea and defending champion Manchester United, which was overtaken by Arsenal, play Sunday. Blackburn moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth.

Thierry Henry headed home his first league goal of the season in the 44th minute and Lionel Messi scored a late penalty kick for Barcelona.

Barcelona has 26 points and Real Madrid 22. Deportivo La Coruna beat Getafe 2-0 to join Sevilla in third with 19 points. Valencia is next with 18, one ahead of Mallorca. Real Madrid played at Atletico Madrid later Saturday.

PARIS (AP) - Auxerre notched its sixth straight win to beat struggling Le Mans 1-0 and move above Monaco into third place in the French league.

A poor start to the season had left Auxerre 19th place with only one point and no goals after the first four games. But Jelen's return has inspired the team and Auxerre now has 23 points after 12 rounds, putting it even with Lyon and two points behind leader Bordeaux.

Lyon and Bordeaux have a game in hand and play Sunday, when Lyon hosts Marseille and Bordeaux travels to Lille.
