Suns at Bobcats - 7:05 PM EST
Phoenix: 5-6 SU, 8-2-1 ATS
Charlotte: 6-6 SU, 7-4-1 ATS
The Suns were one of the early surprises in the league with a 5-2 record through seven games. However, Phoenix has gone backwards with four consecutive losses, including dropping a home-and-home set with Sacramento. The Suns begin a three-game road trip through the Southeast Division, while looking to get leading scorer Eric Bledsoe back in the lineup after missing the last two games with a left shin bruise. Phoenix has cashed in all five road games this season, but has won only once outright away from the Valley.
Charlotte snapped a three-game home skid with Wednesday's victory over slumping Brooklyn, while picking up its fourth cover in the last five games. The Bobcats are relying on defense this season by limiting four of the last five opponents to 91 points or less, as Charlotte has put together a 4-0-1 mark to the 'under' in this span. The Suns swept the season series from the Bobcats last season, as each contest easily finished 'over' the total.
Pacers at Celtics - 7:35 PM EST
Indiana: 10-1 SU, 8-3 ATS
Boston: 4-9 SU, 7-6 ATS
The Pacers have been one the most impressive teams out of the gate, winning 10 of their first 11 contests. Indiana bounced back from its first loss of the season at Chicago, as the Pacers rallied past the Knicks on Wednesday night in overtime. Frank Vogel's squad picked up a front-door cover thanks to the extra five minutes, beating New York, 103-96 as 6 ½-point road favorites. Indiana owns a 4-1 record on the highway, while allowing 96 points or less in its 10 victories this season.
The Celtics have turned into the streakiest team in the league, starting the season with four losses, then winning four in a row, but are in the midst of a five-game skid. Boston has dropped its last four contests by double-digits, but the C's picked up a cover to wrap up their road trip in San Antonio as 14 ½-point 'dogs in a 104-93 setback. The Celtics have been listed as a home underdog just once in five games at TD Garden this season, losing to the Blazers, 109-96 as 1 ½-point 'dogs.
Spurs at Grizzlies - 8:05 PM EST
San Antonio: 10-1 SU, 5-6 ATS
Memphis: 7-5 SU, 4-7-1 ATS
In a rematch of last season's Western Conference Finals, the Spurs take their eight-game winning streak to FedEx Forum. San Antonio has split the last eight contests from an ATS standpoint, while failing to cover in victories as double-digit favorites against Utah and Boston. The Spurs has won each of their past four road contests by at least eight points, as San Antonio beat Memphis in the season opener, 101-94 to cash as six-point favorites.
The Grizzlies have turned the corner following a slow start by sweeping a four-game road trip through California. The final triumph came in overtime at Golden State, the 11th consecutive victory over the Warriors in an 88-81 win on Wednesday night. Memphis returns home for a pair of divisional contests, which includes a visit from Houston on Monday. At home, the Grizzlies have put together a 1-4 ATS record, while losing outright as a favorite to the Raptors and Pelicans.
Bulls at Blazers - 10:05 PM EST
Chicago: 6-4 SU, 4-6 ATS
Portland: 10-2 SU, 9-3 ATS
Chicago continues its annual "Circus Road Trip" as the Bulls head to Portland with no rest. The Bulls were tripped up at Denver last night, 97-87, the fourth road defeat in five games away from the United Center. Chicago's defense has stepped up of late, cashing the 'under' in six of the last seven games, while allowing 97 points or less in six consecutive contests.
The Blazers are becoming a team to watch out for in the Western Conference thanks to a 10-2 start. Portland finished off a perfect 4-0 SU/ATS road swing, capped off by a 91-82 triumph at Milwaukee on Wednesday. Terry Stotts' club is 6-0 ATS on the highway, while the Blazers are just 3-2 ATS at the Moda Center (formerly the Rose Garden). Portland has won each of the last four meetings with Chicago, including five consecutive home victories in the series.
Warriors at Lakers - 10:35 PM EST
Golden State: 8-4 SU, 6-5-1 ATS
Los Angeles: 5-7 SU, 6-5-1 ATS
The Warriors lost for the second time this season to the Grizzlies in Wednesday's overtime setback, as Stephen Curry missed the game with a concussion. Curry is listed as questionable for tonight's contest against the Lakers, as the Warriors routed Los Angeles in the season opener, 125-94 to easily cash as 12-point 'chalk.' Golden State has dropped two of its past three road contests, while scoring less than 100 points in each of those games.
The Lakers' roller-coaster season continues as they wait for Kobe Bryant's return to the lineup. Los Angeles has been off since Sunday's comeback victory over Detroit, but the Lakers have failed to win back-to-back games this season, posting an 0-4 SU/ATS record off a win. As a home underdog this season, the Lakers have thrived by putting up a 4-1-1 ATS mark, including outright victories over the Clippers and Pelicans.
