Shock rock Mystics by 37 points

WASHINGTON (AP) -Deanna Nolan scored 21 of her 26 points in the first half and led five players in double figures as the Detroit Shock cruised to a 99-62 victory over the Washington Mystics on Friday night.
Nolan made eight of her first nine shots and closed the first quarter with nine straight points to give Detroit a 33-12 lead. The Shock's 55-27 halftime advantage featured the most points the Mystics have relinquished in any opening half this season.
Cheryl Ford had 14 points, and Kara Braxton, Alexis Hornbuckle and Plenette Pierson added 10 each for Detroit, which led by 46 en route to its second consecutive victory. Braxton and Hornbuckle both had six rebounds.
Taj McWilliams-Franklin led Washington with 13 points and eight rebounds. Nikki Blue added 10 points for the Mystics, who lost their second straight and for the sixth time in eight games.
Three-time WNBA All-Star Alana Beard had three points on 1-of-7 shooting for the Mystics, whose 21 turnovers led to 28 Detroit points.
