Baylor is favored by 8.5 points on the road this Saturday with the betting line for the total set at 147 points.

The Bears extended their straight-up winning streak to 13 games with Monday’s eight-point victory against Kansas. They failed to cover as -8.5-point home favorites to slip to 3-3 against the spread in their last six games. The total has stayed UNDER in five of their last seven matchups.

The Bears are 9-1 SU and 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10 games against Oklahoma State. This includes a SU five-game winning streak on the road while going 4-0-1 ATS. Baylor is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS on the road this season.

Oklahoma State evened its Big 12 mark to 3-3 SU (4-2 ATS) with back-to-back victories over Kansas State on the road and Kansas at home. It is 4-1 ATS in its last five games with the total going OVER or ending as a PUSH in five of six games.

The Cowboys have lost two of their last three home games SU while failing to cover in five of their last seven games at home.

The Bears continue to separate themselves from the rest of the nation along with No. 1 Gonzaga. They are playing at a different speed with higher proficiency against every team they face.

Guard Jared Butler was the difference in the recent win against rival Kansas with a game-high 30 points. He leads the team in scoring with an average of 16.7 points per game while shooting 49.4% from the field and 45.9% from three-point range.

Baylor has a total of four players averaging at least 10 PPG as part of its 86.5-point scoring average. The team is shooting 50.4% from the field and converting on 42.6% of its shots outside the three-point line.

Defense is another strong suit for the Bears. They are pulling down 37.9 rebounds while holding opposing teams to 61.7 PPG.

The Cowboys are a bit further down the list in the current Big 12 standings. However, Cade Cunningham gives them a chance to stay competitive against any team they play.

The freshman guard scored 18 points in Oklahoma State’s recent upset over Kansas to match his season scoring average of 17.8 points. He also leads the team in assists (3.8) while shooting 45.6% from the field.

Cunningham is one of five players scoring at least nine points a game. The Cowboys are averaging 77.1 PPG with a 45.8 field goal percentage. This drops to 32.5% from three- point range. They matchup well under the boards with 39.5 rebounds a game while giving up an average of 70.8 PPG.

Baylor-Oklahoma State Predictions

Saturday afternoon will not be a walk in the park for Baylor facing a team coming off a huge win. However, its past success against the Cowboys coupled with its current playing form is a hard combination to bet against. I may have to sweat this one out but I'm going chalk with the Bears covering the spread.

I'm also going with the OVER on the total line. This should be an entertaining game from an offensive standpoint and less emphasis on defense. Baylor’s goal will be to outscore the Cowboys as opposed to slowing them down.

  • Score Prediction: Baylor 84 Oklahoma State 73
  • Best Bets: Baylor -8.5
  • Best Bets: OVER
