Odds Subject to Change
Illinois comes in as a five-point road favorite with the betting line for the total opening at 141.5 points.
The Fighting Illini have won six of their last eight games both straight-up and against the spread, including a nine-point home win against Indiana as -6.5-point favorites on Dec. 26 . The total has stayed UNDER in six of their last eight games.
With the earlier victory, Illinois improved to and even 3-3 SU in its last six games against the Hoosiers. It is 2-3-1 ATS during the same span with the total going OVER or ending as a PUSH in four of the six games.
Indiana’s four-point loss to Rutgers on Saturday as a five-point home favorite was its third SU loss in the last five games. It is still 4-2 ATS over its last six outings. The total has gone OVER in five of the last seven games.
The Hoosiers still have a 7-3 SU edge in its last 10 games against Illinois while going 7-2-1 ATS. They are 4-3 SU and 3-4 ATS at home this season.

The Fighting Illini continue to keep pace with Michigan in the race for the Big Ten regular season title. They got a big effort from guards’ Ayo Dosunmu (25 points) and Trent Frazier (24 points) in Friday’s five-point home win against Iowa as three-point favorites.
Dosunmu leads the team in scoring on the year with 21.9 points per game while shooting an effective 49.8% from the field and 41.8% from three-point range. Center Kofi Cockburn is second on the list with 16.9 points while pulling down a team-high 10.2 rebounds.
Illinois is averaging 82.7 points a game as a team while connecting on 50.8% of their shots from the field and 39.9% from beyond the three-point line.
Its 40.4 rebounds a game is ranked 27th in the nation. The defense is holding opposing teams to 69.3 PPG.

- SU: 9-7
- ATS: 10-6
- SU - Home: 5-4

Indiana has dropped three of five conference games at home this season SU with the recent loss to Rutgers. It closed as a favorite in all five contests.
Facing Illinois on Tuesday will be the team’s toughest test of the year at home. The Hoosiers are also banged up at bit with guards’ Armaan Franklin and Trey Galloway listed as questionable on the latest injury report.
Forward Trayce Jackson-Davis will need to step-up his game as the team’s leader in points (20.1) and rebounds (8.7). Guard Al Durham is third on the list with 10.6 PPG right after Franklin (12.8 points).
Indiana is averaging 72.9 points with 34.4 rebound a game. It is shooting 45.9% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range. The defense is allowing an average of 68.1 PPG.

Illinois-Indiana Predictions
Given the Fighting Illini’s current playing form, this is not the kind of team you want to go against right now. This is especially true in light of Indiana’s struggles at home this season.
It is always tricky to sweep the regular season series in conference play. Yet, Illinois should continue to roll on Tuesday night with another victory SU and ATS.
I also have the Fighting Illini taking this game OVER the current total line with minimal help from the Hoosiers. They should be able to meet or possibly exceed their season scoring average to add more value an OVER bet.
- Score Prediction: Illinois 84 Indiana 77
- Best Bets: Illinois -5
- Best Bets: OVER
