The Hoosiers have dropped four consecutive games, tumbling down the conference standings in the process. Indiana is now under .500 in the Big Ten for the first time thie season. IU lost 74-69 at home against Wisconsin last time out, failing to cover for a fourth consecutive game as well.

The defense has really struggled lately, too, allowing 75.0 PPG in the past two games, and that's nearly 11 points more than the season's average of 64.2 PPG allowed. IU shot just 41% (25-of-61) from the field, while managing just 28% (5-of-18) from behind the 3-point line. The good news is that IU was plus-1 in the turnover category, but outrebounded by a 34-to-29 clip.

The Buckeyes are coming off a very disappointing 75-62 loss at home against Iowa Saturday. The Buckeyes shot 47% (23-of-49) from the field, but they were just 18% (2-of-11) from downtown, and 67% (14-of-21) from the free-throw line. The Buckeyes turned it over four more times than the Hawkeyes, while getting outrebounded 36-30, and that's never a recipe for much success.

The Buckeyes were embarrassed by the Hoosiers in Bloomington in the first meeting back on Jan. 6, falling 67-51 as 3.5-point underdogs. The 51 points easily marked a season low, with the previous low-water mark being the 61 scored in a win against Penn State on Jan. 16. The Buckeyes shot just 31% (16-of-52) in that first game, hitting 30% (8-of-27) from downtown. Turnovers were key, coughing it up 14 times, and Indiana outrebounded Ohio State by a 40-to-32 clip.

Despite Saturday's flameout, Ohio State has managed to cover six of the past eight games overall, while going 5-2 ATS in the past seven at VCA. The Buckeyes also do not have a case of the Mondays, going 5-0 ATS in the previous five showings on Monday. They're also 7-2 ATS in the past nine games following a loss of 10 or more points at home.

Neither of these teams have been playing particularly well lately. Indiana has struggled tremendously, dropping four straight while going 0-4 ATS during the nosedive. This was a team sitting 7-4 in league play before the skid, now they find themselves one game under .500 with five conference games remaining. Indiana crushed Ohio State in the first meeting in Bloomington, but it is showing no signs that will be the case again.

The Buckeyes were showing some signs of life following a 1-2 SU run from Jan. 30-Feb. 9 with loss at Purdue and at Rutgers. The Buckeyes rebounded with wins of 11 or more points at Michigan and home to Minnesota Feb. 12-15, and looked to be turning a corner. Then, they lost against Iowa by 13 points, its first setback at home this season. They're not going to lose a second straight game at home, but seven points is an awful large spread against a team which blasted them in the first meeting.
