San Francisco Giants vs. Atlanta Braves Betting Prediction

The San Francisco Giants enter this matchup third in the NL West standings, three games behind the Dodgers for first place. The Giants won two of three games against the Pirates in their most recent series and have won seven of their last 10 games. San Francisco has been solid on both sides of the ball this season, averaging 4.86 runs per game (9th) while allowing opponents 3.89 runs per game (20th). Former Brave Joc Pederson is having a nice season for the Giants with a batting average of .267 (44-165), 14 home runs, and 36 RBIs.

Atlanta is currently second in the NL East standings, six games behind the New York Mets for first place. The Braves went 1-2 SU in their most recent series against the Chicago Cub, but have won eight of their last 10 games. After a rough start to the season, the Braves managed to turn things around and win 14 straight prior to their series with the Cubs. The offense was great over that stretch and are now rank as the seventh highest scoring team in the league, averaging 4.73 runs per game. The shortstop Dansby Swanson has been a big part of their success with a batting average of .294 (72-245), nine home runs, and 37 RBIs.

The Braves took game one of this series 2-1, thanks to Orlando Arcia who brought in the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth. I like Atlanta to continue their success and take game-two of this series. The Braves have been one of the hottest teams in the league as of late and with Spencer Strider taking the mound, I expect the Giants to struggle again on offense. Backing the Braves moneyline here.
