Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels Betting Prediction

The Chicago White Sox are currently third in the AL Central standings, five and half games behind the Minnesota Twins for first place. Chicago went 1-3 SU in their most recent series against Baltimore and have lost six of their last 10 games. The offense struggled to get much going against the Orioles with just seven runs scored throughout the series. The bullpen did not play well either, allowing Baltimore 17 runs. This is nothing new for the White Sox as they have struggled all season, averaging 4.14 runs per game with a team ERA of 4.13. The shortstop Tim Anderson has been a key member for Chicago this season with a batting average of .339 (63-186), five home runs, and 19 RBIs.

Los Angeles is currently third in the AL West standings, 11 and a half games behind the Houston Astros for first place. The Angels most recently went 1-2 SU in a three-game series with the Seattle Mariners and have gone 5-5 SU in their last 10 games. The offense could not get much going with just eight runs scored throughout the series against Seattle. The bullpen was a bit better, holding the Mariners to 10 runs throughout the series. This has been a common trend for the Angels as they are averaging 3.8 runs per game with a team ERA of 3.8 over their last 10 games. Center fielder Mike Trout has been solid for the Angels with a batting average of .291 (68-234), 22 home runs, and 45 RBIs.

These two teams have met four times this season with each team winning twice. I like the total to go under in this matchup. Both bullpens have been pitching well over their last 10 games while the offensive production has been down for both teams. I would lean toward the Angels if I had to pick a side but will wait for a game or two to play out before playing the moneyline. Backing the under here as I expect a low scoring game.

Score Prediction: White Sox 3, Angels 2
Best Bet: Under
