Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Predictions

After finishing fourth in the East with a record of 41-31 last year, New York briefly kept that same ball rolling with an excellent start to this season, as the Knicks opened with an impressive 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS run– which included tough victories over the Sixers, Celtics, and Bulls.

The Knicks have looked like a shell of that squad since their opening stretch though, considering New York is just 12-19 SU and ATS across the last 31 games – despite getting tagged as favorites in 17 of those contests.

On the other hand, Indiana posted a relatively pedestrian start to the season, as the Pacers kicked things off with a rocky 8-11 SU and 10-9 ATS skid – despite posting tough upset victories over the Bulls, Jazz, Sixers, and Heat.

The Pacers have gradually fallen apart since that point though, considering Indiana is just 6-12 SU and 8-9-1 ATS across the last 18 games – despite getting tagged as favorites in 12 of those affairs.

I’ll back Indiana here, as despite the Pacers posting competitive losses in five of their last six games – they should still find success against a Knicks squad that sits at 0-2 SU and ATS, while averaging just 92.5 PPG since their latest wave of absences.

Indiana Pacers Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 14-23
  • ATS: 17-19-1
  • O/U: 17-20

After finishing ninth in the East with a record of 34-48 SU last year, Indiana stumbled out to a somewhat worrisome start to this season, as the Pacers opened with a head-scratching 1-6 SU run – while scoring 102 PTS or less in four of those affairs.

The Pacers have gradually returned to mediocrity since their decrepit start though, considering Indiana sits at 13-17 SU and 15-14-1 ATS since the onset of November – now ranking 18th in scoring and 16th in offensive efficiency (107.7 PPG, 1.067 OE).

New York Knicks Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 17-20
  • ATS: 16-21
  • O/U: 16-21

New York’s overwhelming success may have been the league’s biggest surprise last season, as the Knicks finished fourth in the East with an impressive tally of 41-31 SU – before getting completely outmatched by Atlanta in the first round of the playoffs.

The Knicks haven’t caught anybody off guard this year though, considering the Knicks rank just 11th in the East SU with a record of 17-20 SU and 12th ATS with a record of 16-21 – despite getting tagged as favorites in 23 of those matchups.

Key Players to Watch

  • IND: Caris LeVert - SG (17.8 PPG, 2.6 REB, 3.3 AST)
  • NYK: RJ Barrett - SG (15.2 PPG, 5.5 REB, 2.2 AST)
  • NYK: Evan Fournier - SF (13.1 PPG, 2.7 REB, 1.8 AST)

Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Betting Conclusion

After posting back-to-back losses to the Thunder and Raptors, the Knicks enter Tuesday night’s matchup as short home underdogs against the visiting Pacers – marking the seventh time New York has been favored across the last eight games.

I’ll back the Pacers here, as the Knicks have struggled miserably since their latest wave of health absences, highlighted by New York sitting at 0-2 SU and ATS across the last two games, while scoring just 92.5 PPG on offense and surrendering 107.5 PPG on defense over that span – which likely won’t be enough to hand Indiana a fifth straight loss on Tuesday night.
