DALLAS MAVERICKS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS PREDICTIONS

After finishing ninth in the West with a record of 39-33 SU last year, Golden State bounced back with a triumphant start to this season, as the Warriors opened with an impressive 18-3 SU and 15-5-1 ATS run – with 14 of those victories coming by double-digits.

The last few weeks have been relatively shaky for the Warriors though, considering Golden State is just 16-11 SU and 10-15-2 ATS across the last 27 games – despite getting tagged as favorites in 21 of those contests.

On the other hand, Dallas stumbled out to a surprisingly slow start to the season, as the Mavericks kicked things off with a lackluster 16-18 SU and 13-21 ATS skid – with ten of those losses coming by seven points or more.

The Mavericks quickly flipped the script around the Holidays though, considering Dallas enters Tuesday’s contesting riding an impressive 11-2 SU and 8-5 ATS run – which includes tough SU victories over the Warriors, Grizzlies, Nuggets, and Bulls.

I’ll back Dallas here, as the Mavericks have played well at both ends across their latest 11-2 SU stretch, averaging 105.2 PPG offensively and surrendering 95.6 PPG defensively during that span – likely presenting a steep uphill battle for a Warriors squad that’s scored 105 PTS or less in four of their last five games (103.4 PPG).

DALLAS MAVERICKS ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 27-20
  • ATS: 24-23
  • O/U: 13-33-1

After a disappointing first-round exit from last year’s playoffs, Dallas posted an incredibly underwhelming start to this season, as the Mavericks opened with a frustrating 16-18 and 13-21 ATS skid – while getting tagged as favorites in five of those SU losses.

Dallas has turned things around with excellent defense as of late though, considering the Mavericks enter Tuesday’s matchup riding a sturdy 11-2 SU run – while smothering their opponent to 100 PTS or less in nine of those matchups (95.6 PPG).

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 34-13
  • ATS: 25-19-3
  • O/U: 17-29-1

After last year’s mediocre 39-33 SU regular-season showing, Golden State returned seeking vengeance to kick off the new season, as the Warriors opened with wins in 18 of their first 20 games – with their only two losses across that span coming by slim margins of four points or less.

The Warriors’ offense has been virtually non-existent since their opening stretch though, considering Golden State is 16-12 SU and 10-16-2 ATS across their last 28 games, while averaging just 103 PPG offensively during that timeframe – which typically isn’t enough to keep up with well-balanced squads like the Mavs.’

The Warriors are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 matchups against Dallas. (AP)

DALLAS MAVERICKS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Mavericks won two-of-three regular-season matchups against the Warriors last year, with all three of those matchups soaring way over the total set for Wednesday’s affair at a whopping average of 255 PPG. The most recent matchup between these teams took place just a few weeks ago though, which resulted in a very low-scoring victory for the Mavericks (99-82).

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • DAL: Luka Doncic - PG (25.6 PPG, 8.8 REB, 8.7 AST)
  • DAL: Kristaps Porzingis - PF (19.9 PPG, 8 REB, 1.8 BLK)
  • GSW: Steph Curry - PG (26 PPG, 5.3 REB, 6.2 AST)
  • GSW: Andrew Wiggins - SF (18.2 PPG, 4.2 REB, 2 AST)

DALLAS MAVERICKS VS. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting back-to-back victories over the Jazz and Rockets, the Warriors enter Tuesday’s contest as narrow home favorites over the Mavericks at Chase Center – marking the fifth straight game Golden State has been favored in.

I’ll back Dallas here, as Golden State has struggled offensively as of late, with the Warriors averaging just 103 PPG across their current 10-16-2 ATS skid – setting the stage for a tough matchup against a Mavericks squad that’s held their opponent to 100 PTS or less in nine of the last 13 games (95.6 PPG).
