Sixers-Pacers Under 233 (-110)

At full strength, both of these squads are capable of standing toe-to-toe with offensive powerhouses in a shootout, but make no mistake about it, the Sixers prefer to slow things down and lean on their defense in a halfcourt set, ranked 26th in the league in pace (97.1 PACE), and the Pacers tend to perform much better under a controlled tempo.

In the most recent meeting between these teams, Philly and Indiana combined for a monster total of 290 points in regulation, as the Sixers managed to escape with a narrow 147-143 home victory.over the Pacers back on March 6th.

However, scoring outputs of such great magnitude certainly hasn’t been par for the course for either of these squads throughout the back half of the season, highlighted by the Sixers ranking 29th in pace across a 14-6 run since the calendar flip to February (96.3 PACE), and the Pacers ranking 15th across that same window (99.8 PACE).

The Pacers enter Saturday having scored 120+ points in five of their last six games. So, an ‘over’ result in this contest certainly wouldn’t come as a total shock. However, the total for this one still appears to be too high for a matchup against a Sixers’ squad that’s seen at least one team fall short of the 110-point scoring mark in 12 of their last 17 games.

Miami Heat -3 (-110) @ CHI

The Bulls have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA over the last few seasons, and this year has been no different, currently stationed 12th in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 31-37, despite comfortably ranking in the top-half of the league in net rating at +0.7.

By no means in this Chicago’ team a league bottom-dweller, but don’t tread with caution when it comes to evaluating their latest string of success, as the Bulls enter Saturday following wins in five of their last nine games, yet that includes wins over the Nets, Wizards, Pistons and Rockets during that span. So, it’s tough to draw any major conclusions from their recent stint of showings.

While on the other hand, Miami has also been up-and-down all season, but nowhere close to the valleys that Chicago has stooped to throughout the year, as the Heat currently rank 8th in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 38-33, ultimately, still trying to recover from their miserable 7-11 start.

Watch out for the Heat down the stretch, though, as they finally appear to be putting all the puzzle pieces together at just the right time, highlighted by Miami entering Saturday following wins in five of their last seven games, while ranking Top 10 in the league in net rating during that stretch (+2.3 NetRtg).

So, I’ll back Miami to handle business on the road in tonight’s matchup against a Bulls’ squad that’s yielded a lackluster record of 4-10 since February 7th.

Draymond Green Over 7.5 Rebounds

Well, he’s done it again,  Draymond Green earned a night off yesterday by picking up his 16th technical foul of the season in a 134-126 loss to the Clippers earlier in the week, resulting in a one-game suspension, which he served in Friday’s matchup against Atlanta.

So, Green is well-rested and seeking revenge heading into this one, but surely, that won’t be the only thing on Draymond’s mind in Saturday’s contest, as he’ll also be looking to one-up his newfound enemy, Dillon Brooks, in a quick turnaround rematch with the Grizzlies.

Back in his hay day, there was a time when Draymond averaged somewhere between 10-14 points per game on 8.5+ attempts from the field, however, those days are long over. Green typically fills the stat sheet by contributing in other volume stat departments.

Green enters Saturday having secured 6+ rebounds in seven of his last ten outings for Golden State, with six of those performances ringing in at 8+ rebounds, and there’s a good chance that his numbers will lean towards the north side of the spectrum in a rematch against a Memphis’ squad that ranks 5th in the league in pace (101.2 PACE).
