NFL Scores

The NFL Scoreboard on VegasInsider.com is a must-stop for any pro football fan but for an individual wagering on the NFL, it’s an essential sports betting resource. The coverage starts with 49 exhibition games in the Preseason, highlighted by the Hall of Fame Game from Canton, Ohio. After all of the 32 NFL teams from the AFC and NFC conferences make their additions and subtractions to their allotted roster, the Regular Season begins in the first week of September. That campaign is spread out over a 17-week season and there is always a total of 256 total games for bettors to follow and wager on.

The Postseason features 11 games, spread over four weekends in January and February. Twelve of the 32 teams make the NFL Playoffs, six from both the AFC and NFC conferences. The first weekend of the postseason featured on the NFL Scoreboard is the Wild Card, followed by the Division round and then the Conference championships. The winners of those title games square off two weeks later in the NFL finale, better known as the Super Bowl. In between the championships and Super Bowl, the NFL produces a light-hearted exhibition game for fans called the Pro Bowl that features top players at each position.

NFL Results & Records

All bettors have many different tools in their handicapping workshop and the NFL Scoreboard is a necessity to complete any analysis. Each matchup features two teams, one is always designated as the home team while the other is away. All contests have a Game Time posted and VegasInsider.com presents their format in Eastern Standard Time Zone (ET). Next to each team you’ll see a number, which is called the rotation and that’s the difference between the VI scoreboard and other sports sites showing data. The NFL Scoreboard lists all games in order of rotation and those numbers are what the sportsbooks use for betting purposes. It’s usually a three-digit number and depending on which team you selected, the rotation will be tied to your wager.

Along with the rotation comes the sports betting odds and the scoreboard always shows the point-spread and total for the NFL games. The team listed as the favorite will have a minus (-) even with their name, which means the underdog is the other team and the total points or ‘over/under’ is filled in next to them. The Win-Loss record on the scoreboard is a key factor in determining who the favorite and underdog are but certainly not the only one. The current record is always displayed and we show two numbers, the overall record for the team and the away record for whoever the visitor is and the home record for the designated host.

NFL Livescores

Prior to the start of the game, bettors can follow the Line Movements on our NFL Scoreboard page from multiple sportsbooks in the United States. These Livescores pages provide the sports betting markets for each particular matchup, showing the fluctuation for both the point-spread, totals and money-line wagers.

Along with the line movements, the Preview links offer a snapshot on the matchup. We can’t be remiss not to mention our Picks link and these appear when our VegasInsider.com NFL handicappers post a selection on the game.

When the game kicks off, our NFL Livescores track the game and show who’s winning and losing during the contest. When the game reaches halftime, the NFL Scoreboard become more popular since the Line Movements present the second-half odds. Savvy bettors looking to chase or press their bets always come here first to see the odds on the final two quarters of action.

After each game concludes, we designate the winner of each contest and provide the all-important Against the Spread (ATS) result. This determines whether your wager was a loser or winner, hopefully the latter. Similar to Previews before the game, Recaps are populated after and those nuggets provide more insight on what you may have missed.
