Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Predictions
After earning the top wild-card spot in the AFC with a record of 11-5 last year, the Ravens stumbled out to a rather head-scratching start to the new season, as Baltimore led the Raiders 14-0 during the first half of their opening matchup – yet eventually stalled out offensively and lost in stunning fashion (L, 33- 27 OT).
Since dropping their season-opener though, Baltimore has looked excellent across the board, highlighted by the Ravens heading into Thursday’s matchup boasting wins in six of their last seven games, which includes decisive victories over the Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos – and their only loss coming to a very dangerous Bengals team.
On the other hand, Miami jumped out to a surprisingly impressive start to the new year, as the Dolphins visited Foxborough as field-goal underdogs in their season-opener – and managed to escape with a rather unlikely one-point road victory over the Patriots at Gillette Stadium (W, 17-16).
Since Week 1 though, life’s been tough for Dolphins’ fans, considering Miami enters Thursday night following losses in six of their last seven games – with the Fins’ only victory during that timeframe coming in an ugly matchup against a completely broken Texans squad (W, 17-9).
I’ll take the under here, as the Dolphins rank bottom-five in the league in scoring with a lowly average of 17.2 PPG – while the Ravens have averaged just 23 PPG across three road matchups so far this season.

Despite suffering some crucial defensive absences, Baltimore will head into Thursday’s contests just a few snaps short of sitting atop the AFC standings, considering the Ravens’ only two losses came in matchups with the Raiders and Bengals – and they entered the fourth quarter of the Raiders’ matchup with a seven-point lead.
Barring their head-scratching performance against Cincinnati, the Ravens have played much better since Week 1 though, highlighted by Lamar Jackson and company ranking 7th in the league in scoring (27.6 PPG) – and defensively, allowing just 22 PPG across their last six games.
Miami Dolphins Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 2-7
- ATS: 3-5-1
- O/U: 4-5
- ATS - Home: 1-3
- ATS - Away: 2-2-1
After kicking things off with a somewhat surprising upset victory over New England in Week 1 (W, 17- 16), the Dolphins went into their next matchup riding relatively high, as Miami hosted the Bills as just three-point underdogs at Hard Rock Stadium in Week 2.
Miami’s success was very short-lived though, as the Dolphins got stomped 35-0 in Week 2, and never looked back – considering they head into Week 10 following losses in seven of their last eight games, with their only win across that span coming against an ailing Texans squad.
Miami has flat out struggled to generate points this year, highlighted by the Dolphins ranking 28th in the league in scoring and 30th in total yardage (17.2 PPG, 297.4 YPG) – which means we’ll probably see them lean heavily on their defense at home against a Baltimore squad that ranks 7th in scoring and 2nd in total yardage (27.6 PPG, 427.9 YPG).
The point total has gone OVER in three straight games played between the Dolphins and the Ravens. (AP)

Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Betting Conclusion
After snapping a seven-game losing streak with a win over Houston last Sunday (W, 17-9), the Dolphins will enter Thursday night’s affair as a touchdown-underdog against the visiting Ravens – marking the largest underdog tag given to Miami at home this year.
I’ll take the under here, as I envision the Ravens escaping with a low-scoring road victory – mainly on the heels of another outstanding rushing effort from their mobile quarterback – which is why I’m also taking Lamar’s rushing yards over in Thursday’s event.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Betting Trends
- Baltimore has won six of its last seven games.
- Baltimore has gone UNDER the point total in five of its last six road games.
- Miami has failed to cover the spread in five of its last six games.
