Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals Predictions

After finishing third in the NFC West with a record of 8-8 last year, Arizona jumped out to a surprisingly perfect start to the new season, as the Cardinals kicked things off with wins in eight straight games – which included impressive upset victories over the Titans, Rams, and Browns.

Arizona has been somewhat underwhelming since starting 8-0 though, considering the Cardinals are just a pedestrian 3-2 SU since Week 7 – with their only victories across that span coming against the Niners, Seahawks, and Bears, who boast a combined record of 14-22 SU.

On the other hand, Los Angeles jumped out to an excellent start with new QB Matthew Stafford under center, as the Rams opened with wins in seven of their first eight games – which included solid victories over the Colts, Buccaneers, and Seahawks.

The Rams’ experienced some growing pains over the course of November though, considering L. A. dropped three straight games to Titans, Niners, and Packers – before finally bouncing back and stomping the Jaguars last week (W, 37-7).

I’ll take the points with L. A., as this is a phenomenal high-stakes matchup that could ultimately playout a multitude of ways, but my vote of confidence goes to Sean McVay’s squad this time around, as this feels like it could be a hungry-dog-runs-faster scenario after their latest rough patch – and a home loss to Arizona back in Week 4.

The Cardinals enter Monday night’s contest favored by roughly a field goal over the visiting Rams – marking the first time L. A. has been an underdog since hosting the Buccaneers in Week 3.

The total for Monday’s event is currently stationed north of OU 51 at most shops, which marks the highest over-under set for a Cardinals’ game since visiting the Rams back in Week 4 (O 54).

Los Angeles Rams Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 8-4
  • ATS: 5-7

  • ATS - Home: 3-3
  • ATS - Away: 2-4

When a team makes a catastrophic switch at the quarterback position, it typically takes a few weeks for the offense to settle into a rhythm – but that couldn’t be further from the truth for Stafford and the Rams to start this season, as L. A. posted wins in seven of their first eight games, which included tough victories over the Bucs’, Seahawks, and Colts.

The Rams posted a pair of head-scratching performances against the Titans and Niners right before their Week 11 bye though, as Stafford and company generated just 13 PPG on 312.5 YPG across losses in Weeks 9 and 10.

The Rams’ offense seemingly ironed things out during their Week 11 bye though, considering L. A. has averaged 32.5 PPG on 385.5 YPG across their two games since.

Arizona Cardinals Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 10-2
  • ATS: 9-3
  • O/U: 6-6
  • ATS - Home: 2-3
  • ATS - Away: 7-0

After posting an impressive 7-0 start to the season, Cardinals’ fans held their breath through the end of their Week 8 loss to Green Bay, as not only did Arizona surrender its first loss of the season – Kyler Murray was also noticeably shaken up following the final play, leaving him sidelined for three games.

Even without Murray though, the Cardinals are still an incredibly dangerous squad, as backup QB Colt McCoy took Arizona on the road and led his team to upset victories over the Niners and Seahawks during the absence of their starting signal-caller.
