LAS VEGAS RAIDERS VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS PREDICTIONS

After finishing second in the AFC West with a record of 8-8 SU last year, the Raiders kicked off this season on an incredibly encouraging note, as Las Vegas opened with a solid 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS run – while racking up 26+ PTS in five of those contests (25.7 PPG).

The second half of the Raiders’ season was quite the rollercoaster ride though, considering Las Vegas went 1-5 SU across Weeks 9 through 15 – before ultimately wrapping things up with a four-game win streak, which was capped off by a thrilling do-or-die victory over the Chargers in Week 18 (W, 35-32 OT).

On the other hand, Cincinnati stumbled out to a relatively pedestrian start to the season, as the Bengals opened with an unimpressive 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS stretch – while averaging just 22.8 PPG on 334 YPG offensively across that span.

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati offense have been phenomenal since Week 5 though, considering the Bengals enter Wild Card Weekend sitting at 7-5 SU and 8-4 ATS across the last 12 games – while racking up 28.8 PPG on 373 YPG during that timeframe.

I’ll lay the points with Cincy here, as despite racking up 35 PTS against L. A. last week, the Raiders have still averaged just 19.4 PPG since their Week 8 bye – which sets the stage for a tough road matchup against a Bengals’ squad averaging 28.8 PPG on 373 YPG across the last 12 games.

The Bengals enter Saturday’s contest favored by roughly five points over the visiting Raiders, which marks the fourth straight game Vegas has been an underdog in.

The total for Saturday’s event is stationed just south of OU 50 at most shops – marking the second-highest bar set for a Raiders’ game since Week 12.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 10-7
  • ATS: 8-9
  • O/U: 8-9
  • ATS - Away: 4-4

The Raiders and Bengals posted identical records of 10-7 SU this season, yet the Raiders barely snuck into the playoffs, as Derek Carr and company were forced to duke it out for the top AFC Wild Card spot in a thrilling win-or-go-home matchup against the Chargers in Week 18.

The Raiders edged L. A. in an incredibly competitive shootout though (W, 35-32 OT), but clearly, they cannot be relied upon for that type of production week-to-week, considering Vegas is averaging just 19.4 PPG since their Week 8 bye.

CINCINNATI BENGALS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 10-7
  • ATS: 10-7
  • O/U: 8-9
  • ATS - Home: 4-5

After finishing last in the AFC North with a record of 4-11-1 SU last year, the Bengals bounced back with a surprisingly excellent 2021 campaign, as Cincinnati defied its +2500 preseason divisional odds by winning the AFC North with a sturdy record of 10-7 SU – claiming the division crown for the first time since 2015.

Cincinnati certainly isn’t afraid to partake in a shootout though, considering the Bengals scored 30+ PTS in seven of their last 12 regular-season matchups (28.8 PPG) – and surrendered 26+ PTS defensively five times across that same timeframe (23 PPG).

The Bengals are 5-0 ATS in their last five matchups against the Raiders. (AP)

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS BETTING CONCLUSION

After eliminating the Chargers in thrilling fashion last Sunday, the Raiders enter Wild Card Weekend as five-point road underdogs against the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium – marking the fourth straight game Vegas has been an underdog in.

I’ll lay the points with Cincy here, as the Bengals’ offense was virtually unstoppable during the back half of the season, averaging 28 PPG on 361.5 YPG across Weeks 11 through 18 – which should serve as a steep uphill battle for a Raiders squad that’s scored 17 PTS or less in seven of their last ten contests (19.4 PPG).
