LAS VEGAS RAIDERS vs. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS BETTING PREDICTION

The Raiders entered Week 1 with sky high expectations, as Las Vegas earned the top Wild Card spot in the AFC with a record of 10-7 last year, and this past offseason, brought in All-Pro WR Davante Adams and head coach Josh McDaniels to help guide the ship. However, things haven’t exactly gone as planned, as the Raiders kicked off the season with consecutive losses to the Chargers, Cardinals, and Titans, with all three of those losses coming by less than a touchdown, before finally getting over the hump with a 32-23 victory over Denver in Week 4.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, have performed right on par with previous campaigns to open the season, as Kansas City’s offense lit up the scoreboard for 37.3 PPG on 408 YPG in an impressive trio of victories over the Cardinals, Chargers, and Bucs, but of course, it wouldn’t be Chiefs’ football without the occasional head-scratching blunder from Andy Reid, as they also posted a puzzling 20-17 loss to the Colts back in Week 3.

I’ll take the over here, as I see this as a potential letdown spot for Kansas City, however, we should still get a steady dose of scoring in Monday night’s matchup between a Raiders squad that’s scored 22+ PTS and allowed 24+ PTS in three-of-four contests, and a Chiefs squad that’s scored 27+ PTS in three-of-four matchups (32.3 PPG), while also surrendering 20+ PTS in four-of-four (24 PPG).

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Raiders and Chargers were tied at 9-7 heading into last year’s regular season finale, with the winner earning a first-round playoff matchup against Cincinnati and the loser going home; and to the majority’s surprise, the Raiders came out on top, as the Chargers rallied back from a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime, but the Raiders still managed to escape with a narrow three-point victory to punch their postseason ticket.

The first few weeks of the season were heartbreaking for Vegas’ fans, as the Raiders coughed up a massive 20-point lead against Arizona in Week 2, and in Week 3, they had a chance to tie Tennessee with a two-point conversion attempt at the 1:14 mark in the fourth quarter, but the try was unsuccessful, and the Raiders went to Week 4 as the final winless team in the league. However, they certainly didn’t look like a winless squad last week, as Derek Carr and co. erupted for 32 PTS on 385 YDS in a comfortable nine-point victory over Denver in Week 4, marking the Raiders’ second straight game with 385+ YDS of total offense.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Chiefs earned the second seed in the AFC with a record of 12-5 last season and came very close to making their third straight Super Bowl appearance, as Kansas City went to halftime of last year’s conference championship game with a 21-10 lead over the Bengals, but they got outscored 14-3 in the second half and eventually lost the contest in overtime 27-24.

Many expected the Chiefs’ offense to take a considerable step back following the departure of All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill this past offseason. However, the Chiefs looked like the same ole’ Chiefs during their 3-1 run to open the season, especially when you factor in Patrick Mahomes and co. scoring just 17 PTS on 315 YDS in the easiest of their four matchups thus far against Indy. Classic Kansas City stuff.
