New Orleans Saints vs. Arizona Cardinals Same Game Parlay Picks and Predictions

NFL betting expert Michael Crosson gives his same game parlay selection for Thursday night's primetime matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals. Odds provided by DraftKings.

Saints vs. Cardinals SGP Picks

  • Arizona Cardinals Over 22.5 Points Scored (-125)
  • Kyler Murray (ARI) Over 249.5 Passing Yards (+100)
  • Alvin Kamara (NO) Over 59.5 Rushing Yards (-150)

Payout: +425

The Cardinals, on the other hand, are also off to a frustrating 2-4 start to the season, however, cut them some slack, their schedule hasn’t exactly been a walk in the park, as Arizona racked up 27.5 PPG on 376 YPG across a pair of wins over the Raiders and Panthers, and averaged just 14.8 PPG on 331 YPG in losses to the Chiefs, Rams, Seahawks, and Eagles.

I’ll back Arizona to have a solid night on the scoreboard here, as the Cards’ offense has now scored 17 PTS or less in three-of-six matchups to open the season (19 PPG), and we’ve become accustomed to seeing much more from a squad led by Kyler Murray. But they shouldn’t have much trouble moving the ball against a Saints defense that’s surrendered 20+ PTS in six straight contests to start the season (26.3 PPG).

Murray has been incredibly inconsistent in the passing department to start the season, as Arizona’s fourth year QB completed just 65% of his passes for 244 YPG and a 6-4 TD-INT ratio across the Cards’ 2-4 skid to open, while throwing for 250+ YDS in three of those contests (280 YPG), and falling short of 225 YDS in the other three (207 YPG).

I’ll back Murray to have a solid night here, as the Cardinals’ passing attack should look exponentially better with DeAndre Hopkins back in action on Thursday night, and even if they tread water, I still expect Murray to clear that number against a Saints’ secondary that currently ranks 22nd in yards allowed per pass attempt (6.9 YPA).

Saints’ RB Alvin Kamara stumbled out to a surprisingly slow start to the season, as Kamara participated in just two of New Orleans’ first four contests, and in the two games he participated in, he averaged just 50 rushing yards on 12 carries.

However, Kamara has stepped up in a big way for the Saints’ offense since the injury to Winston, as Kamara carried the ball 19+ times for 99+ rushing yards in back-to-back games against Seattle and Cincy in Weeks 5 and 6 (101 YPG, 21 CAR). So, I’ll back Kamara to keep it going here, as the Saints scored 26+ PTS in both of those contests, so I don’t see any reason to stray away from the run game against a Cardinals defensive front currently allowing 4.3 yards per carry.
