Fortuna Dusseldorf vs. Borussia Dortmund

  • Odds: Fortuna Dusseldorf +675, Borussia Dortmund -275, Draw +425, Over-Under 3

Since their rise under Jurgen Klopp a decade ago Borussia Dortmund have had the reputation of a gung-ho, attacking team with defensive flaws. But that perception may be slightly outdated. They have actually conceded only three goals in their last nine games, and a bet on them at 6/4 to beat Fortuna Dusseldorf to nil looks very appealing.

Of those three goals, two came against Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich. Dusseldorf are the league’s joint second lowest scorers. Dortmund should have few problems here.

Tip: Borussia Dortmund to win to nil at 6/4

Cologne vs. Union Berlin

  • Odds: Cologne +100, Union Berlin +285, Draw +240, Over-Under 2.5

The post-lockdown Bundesliga results have shown a near-absence of home advantage, which is probably why Cologne are not odds-on to win this match. However the results in Bundesliga 2 have been more or less the same as before lockdown, so this trend may well change soon, especially as teams get more used to playing without fans.

Cologne are a far better team than Union, who do most of their good work at home. Cologne’s form has dipped of late but their star striker Jhon Cordoba should be back for this one. Union have conceded 11 goals in their last three away games and look value to come out second best here.

Tip: Cologne to win at 1/1

Paderborn vs. Werder Bremen

  • Odds: Paderborn +210, Werder Bremen +120, Draw +265, Over-Under 2.5
  • Bet Now at DraftKings
  • TV-Time: Fox Sports Go, 9:30 a.m. ET
Paderborn and Werder Bremen are the Bundesliga’s bottom two clubs. Paderborn are six points behind Bremen and realistically need at least three wins from their last four games to have a chance of staying up. That is unlikely, but they should not be as big as 21/10 here. They have drawn four of their last five games, including a 1-1 at RB Leipzig last time out.

Leipzig were reduced to ten men, but the shot count shows that Paderborn fully deserved their last minute equaliser. Bremen have tightened up at the back of late, but their young team still struggles in front of goal.

Tip: Paderborn to win at 21/10

Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Monchengladbach

  • Odds: Bayern Munich -255, Borussia Monchengladbach +650, Draw +400, Over-Under 2.5
  • Bet Now at DraftKings
  • TV-Time: Fox Sports 1, 12:30 p.m. ET
Bayern Munich need just two more wins to secure yet another Bundesliga title, but they have a tough-looking fixture here against Mönchengladbach. They are without Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller, so some punters will be looking to back the visitors. But Bayern average a staggering three goals per game in the league this season, and their performances are relentless at the moment.

Add to that the fact that Gladbach have recently lost to Dortmund and Leverkusen, and there is a sense that they are not quite good enough against the Bundesliga’s elite. Bayern should be fine here - perhaps at 14/1 odds, 4-1 might be a nice correct score long-shot.

Tip: Bayern Munich -1.5 at 21/20

Schalke 04 vs. Bayer Leverkusen

  • Odds: Schalke 04 +515, Bayer Leverkusen -200, Draw +350, Over-Under 1.5
  • Bet Now at DraftKings
  • TV-Time: Fox Sports 2, 12:00 p.m. ET
Schalke 04 stopped the rot with a 1-1 draw at Union Berlin last time out, but it was another terrible performance, with Union winning the xG count 2.4-0.2. Schalke are still a team in turmoil, and Champions League-chasing Leverkusen can justify their odds of 8/15 and win in Gelsenkirchen.

Leverkusen have doubts over the fitness of their star man Kai Havertz, but they are far from a one-man team with Leon Bailey another excellent weapon, along with an array of useful strikers.

Tip: Bayer Leverkusen to win at 8/15
