BAYERN MUNICH vs. VILLARREAL

  • Date: Tuesday, Apr. 12
  • Time: 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Allianz Arena
  • Location: Munich, Germany

Best Bets

BTS - Yes (-120)

Villarreal stunned many with its 1-0 home win against Bayern in the first leg, so expect the German club to go all out on attacking the net here. In three champions league meeting, Munich has only scored over two goals once - so buying into Bayern's expensive goal total odds aren't worth the risk. The goals should come though, as Bayern is still 7-2 on the 2.5 O/U market, while Villarreal has seen the hit in two of its last four matches and five of nine overall.

Assuming the Over 2.5 is a sure thing, which the odds and combined 12-6 O/U records suggest, the BTS hitting is much cheaper at -120. The BTS has also hit in Bayern's last six UEFA Champions League Knockout Stage matches when playing at home. Despite the BTS failing in their first leg match - that market has hit in four of Bayern's last six league matches.

REAL MADRID vs. CHELSEA

  • Date: Tuesday, Apr. 12
  • Time: 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Santiago Bernabeu
  • Location: Madrid, Spain

Best Bets

Draw (+240)
BTS - No Draw (+150)

Despite the BTS hitting seemingly being a safe bet, the draw is highly recommended over it. It's tough to see Chelsea shake a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid last week, as the Spanish club has won two straight league matches at 3-1 (exact score market has it listed at +2000, just saying). Despite Chelsea going 3-6 on the BTS this UEFA season, the English club has actually seen that market hit in three of four league matches. The BTS - No Draw is also +150 for those who think a similar result from Leg 1 is in the works. This is actually a solid hedging strategy for this match.

The BTS hitting is an expensive -170, but a draw has hit in six of Chelsea's last eight league matches against a club from Spain when playing on a Tuesday. This allows the bettor to cash on any draw result, while allowing both teams to still score without a draw needed. Basically, you're betting against a No BTS - No Draw result. Real Madrid has seen the BTS hit in 10 straight league Knockout Stage matches when playing in Spain, while going Over 2.5 in nine straight league Knockout Stage home matches. The BTS has also hit in two of three league meetings between both clubs.

LIVERPOOL vs. BENFICA

  • Date: Wednesday, Apr. 13
  • Time: 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Anfield
  • Location: Liverpool, England

Best Bets

Liverpool Clean Sheet (+115)
Under 2.5 (+195)

Liverpool recording a clean sheet has better odds then the BTS failing, despite both at plus-value. It's unlikely Benfica wins and shuts out Liverpool, while the club has seen the BTS fail in six of its last nine league matches. This implies a team failing to score so feel free to test the clean sheet market for Liverpool here, with the idea the BTS fails and it likely being Benfica that fails to score instead of Liverpool.

Also keep in mind the BTS has failed to hit in six straight league Knockout Stage home matches for Liverpool. Considering Liverpool has won eight of nine league matches and has seen the Under 2.5 market hit in 10 of 11 league matches on a Wednesday, the clean sheet value is worth a shot. So is the Under 2.5 hitting at +195, for the reason above. The trend matched with value around +200 is too juicy to ignore.

ATLETICO MADRID vs. MANCHESTER CITY

  • Date: Wednesday, Apr. 13
  • Time: 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Wanda Metropolitano
  • Location: Madrid, Spain

Best Bets

Under 2.5 (-125)
BTS - No (-110)

The BTS has failed to hit in three straight Manchester City league matches, while Atletico Madrid has failed to see the market hit in four of six UEFA matches. Atletico has also seen the market fail to hit in nine of 10 UEFA matches on a Wednesday, while the venue this match is played inside only allows an average of exactly two goals per UEFA contest. This brings us to the goal total which has gone Under 2.5 in three of four league matches inside Wanda Metropolitano.

The Under market has hit in nine straight league Knockout Stage matches for Atletico Madrid when facing a club from England. Atletico has also seen the Under market hit in six of nine league matches, which includes three straight and five of six. Man City saw five straight matches go Over 2.5 until its last two against Lisbon and Atletico.
