Why Should You Care?

Both of these teams would be in the playoffs if they started this week. While the visitors have already played five games and are in second place behind the undefeated Blue Bombers at 4-1, they are also 4-1 ATS and, if they’ve won this year, they covered.

Our home team, on the other hand, has only played three games but sits atop the East Division standings despite their 1-2 record. That’s both straight up and against the spread. Shout out to that group in the East, now a combined 2-14 through five weeks.

The Riders are 2.5-point favorites at -115. They are -140 on the Money Line, and it’s +115 if you take the home team sans the points. Today's total is set at 46.5, and that’s -110 both ways.

Are These Roughriders The 2nd Best Team In The CFL?

A victory puts Saskatchewan at 5-1 and in sole possession of second place behind the undefeated Blue Bombers. Cody Fajardo has a QBR of 106 and is one of a few passers in the league with more TDs than interceptions (6-2). They’re rushing for 131 yards a game, led by Jamal Morrow’s 67 per and are averaging almost 25 points every week.

Defensively, they lead the league with 23 sacks, have eight picks and only trail Winnipeg in points allowed with giving up less than 20 a game. Each week, they’re allowing less than 60 yards on the ground, which is also tops in the CFL.

Can Toronto Take A Stranglehold Of Their Division With Their 2nd Win?

It’s easy to see why the Argos have only one win. They have the lowest average points scored in the league. Andrew Harris is picking up 75 of the 85 yards they get on the ground each game and that leads the CFL, but the team has yet to score a rushing TD.

Mcleod Bethel-Thompson’s stats have him in the middle of the pack, but there’s not a Toronto receiver that’s listed in the top 15 in the CFL stats.

Toronto is giving up over 400 yards a game leading to their 28.7 points-allowed average. Those yards are coming easy to the opposing QBs who are completing 76% of their passes.

This one seems easy! Doesn’t that always worry you? That’s how you feel going into the week, and you end up going 3-1 with your best CFL bet this weekend being your only loser.

This current version of the Argos can’t score, and they give up points. Using that whole 3-point home field advantage, this line is still less than a TD spread. Look at the five opponents that helped Saskatchewan jump out to that 4-1 start, they’re a combined 4-20, so it’s not like they’re 4-1 against the best.

Looking back at last season, in their last seven, the Riders are 6-1 ATS. They’ve allowed 20 or less in seven of eight. Seeing that -140 for 0 points and -115 for -2.5 is making the decision a little easier. This just doesn’t look like a FG game.

Use your $1,000 risk-free bet with your new BetMGM account, lay the 2.5, and watch the game knowing you’re going to be okay either way!
