The golf world has been in a frenzy for the last couple months with the creation of LIV. The question on everybody’s mind seems to be whether there is enough room for both the PGA and LIV. July 14, though? It is all about the PGA.

This is the 150th Open Championship, and no course has held the event more than the Old Course. It was first held there in 1873, and after nearly 150 years, it has not changed all that much. It is a par-72 course measuring 7,297 yards, only 350 yards more than it was in 1873.

In short, this course plays about the same that it did 150 years ago. With all the technological advances made in every sport, this course has stayed true and unique. St. Andrews is a course that golfers love to hate but ultimately learn to love. This is the golf Mecca.

This will be last year it will be held at the Old Course for at least five years, meaning this could be Tiger Woods' last Open Championship at the Old Course at St. Andrews. Colin Morikawa will look to defend his title after 2021’s 15 under-par performance where he outlasted a surging Jordan Spieth at Royal St. Georges in Kent, England.

BetMGM Sportsbook will have you covered throughout the entire weekend; every matchup, every breathtaking shot, and every round until Sunday July 17 when the tournament ends. BetMGM is also welcoming new players with a risk-free bet up to $1,000 on your first wager after signing up when utilizing the VIBONUS code.

The bet-on favorite over at BetMGM is Rory McIlroy at +1000. Will Zalatoris has been close in a lot of tournaments this year falling short each time, and at +2800, he might be worth a look.

Last year’s runner up, Jordan Spieth, also comes in at +1800. Tiger Woods will be looking to make noise, and he certainly will bring in some money at +6600. The future market is a splendid way to make some good money in golf, but BetMGM offers a few different ways to bet on this tournament.

The matchups will be a great way to utilize the risk-free bet up to $1,000. BetMGM Sportsbook will offer matchup betting, either by round or for the entire tournament. Last year’s winner Morikawa versus Patrick Cantlay comes in at +1600 for a tie. Morikawa is a slight underdog in this head-to-head matchup at +120, while Cantlay is a slight favorite at -135. You can bet on all the matchups over at BetMGM Sportsbook.
