The 4th and 5th place teams of the National League East are in Washington D.C for a weekend series. The Miami Marlins took game 1 by a score of 6-3. The Nationals starter Josiah Gray did not have his best stuff allowing 10 hits and 6 earned runs through 5.2 innings. Prior to Friday, Gray had put together 5 straight starts allowing 2 earned runs or fewer. The Marlins who have been struggling on offense broke out of their slump.

The Marlins put up 6 runs behind a strong performance from Rogers who went 5 strong allowing just 1 earned run. The Nationals who have won just 29 games on the season will now try for 30 on Saturday afternoon against the Marlins.  Head over to the Caesars Sportsbook, and the Marlins are currently listed as slight favorites of -120 and the Nationals are even.

The Caesars Sportsbook is offering a risk free bet on your first bet when you sign up using the code VIMAXSPORT15.  After signing up and making your first deposit, your first wager up to that amount is risk free. If you like the Nationals to bounce back, a $100 wager would yield a $100 return.  If you lose that bet, the Caesars Sportsbook will refund the wager amount into your account.

Couple trends to keep in mind when making this bet though. The Marlins are 8-1 in their last 9 meetings.  Even after the win in Washington, the Marlins have not had success in D.C as they are just 25-59 in their last 84 meetings at Nationals Park.

Two relative unknowns will take the mound for their respective teams in Daniel Castano and Jackson Tetreault. Daniel Castano has started just 3 games out of the 6 he has played with mixed results. In 3 relief appearances totaling 4 innings he did not allow an earned run. Castano has not had the same success as a starter as he has allowed 6 earned runs through 17 innings.

Jackson Tetreault has had 3 starts this season, and after struggling in his first start has really settled in the last 2.  His first start against the Braves was just 4 innings, but he allowed 7 earned runs coupled with 3 bombs. His last two starts have been much better spanning 13 innings and allowing just 1 earned run.

The Caesars Sportsbook has the current total set to 9.5, which seems right on par considering the 6-3 final these two just played to. The under is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings at Nationals Park. Both teams have also trended under the total as of late. The Nationals have gone under the total in 6 of their last 8 games, and the Marlins and have under at a 3-1-1 clip in their last 5.

Caesars Sportsbook is offering a great incentive to make this Marlins and Nationals game your first wager, whether it’s a total or side, or any other bet you want to make.  The first bet is risk free up to $1,500 if you use the code VIMAXSPORT15 when signing up.
