DALLAS COWBOYS VS. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES PREDICTIONS

After finishing last in the NFC East with a record of 4-11-1 last year, Philadelphia stumbled out to another underwhelming start to this season, as the Eagles opened with a lackluster 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS skid – while generating 22 PTS or less on offense in five of those contests (22.7 PPG).

The Eagles have played excellent on both sides of the sticks since their opening stretch though, considering Philadelphia sits at 7-2 SU and 5-3-1 ATS across the last nine games, while averaging 28.8 PPG offensively and surrendering 16.5 PPG defensively during that span.

On the other hand, Dallas posted a remarkably strong start to the year, as the Cowboys kicked things off with a solid 6-1 SU and 7-0 ATS run – while averaging 32.1 PPG across that timeframe, and their only loss coming in a thrilling season-opener against the Buccaneers (L, 31-29).

Kellen Moore’s top-ranked offense has somewhat underachieved during the back-half of the season though, as despite Dallas leading the league in scoring at 29.9 PPG, the Cowboys are just 5-4 SU and ATS across their last nine games – having tallied 22 PTS or less in four of those affairs.

I’ll take the over here, as despite their latest struggles, the Cowboys racked up 41 PTS on 380 YDS against a much healthier Philly defense back in Week 3 – while the Eagles are now averaging a lofty 28.8 PPG across their current 7-2 SU run.

DALLAS COWBOYS VS. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES BETTING ODDS

The Cowboys enter Saturday’s contest favored by nearly a touchdown over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field – marking the first time Philadelphia has been a home underdog since hosting the Chargers in Week 9.

The total for Saturday’s affair is stationed south of OU 43 at most shops, which marks the lowest number set for a Cowboys’ game all season.

DALLAS COWBOYS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 11-5
  • ATS: 12-4
  • O/U: 7-9
  • ATS - Away: 7-1

After finishing third in the NFC East with a record of 6-10 SU last year, Dallas bounced back with an excellent start to this season, as the Cowboys opened with victories SU and ATS in six of their first seven games – while racking up 32.1 PPG offensively across that timeframe.

The Cowboys haven’t been quite as efficient in the scoring department during the second half though, considering Dallas has tallied 27 PTS or less in five of the last eight contests.

Instead, Dallas has effortlessly paced the rest of the division through solid defense, highlighted by the Cowboys surrendering 20 PTS or less defensively in six of their last eight games (17.5 PPG) – but ultimately, Dak Prescott and company shouldn’t have much trouble against a short-handed Eagles’ defense on Saturday night.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 9-7
  • ATS: 8-7-1
  • O/U: 9-7
  • ATS - Home: 3-3-1

After opening the season with a discouraging 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS skid, people were quickly left wondering whether Philadelphia made the right decision to cut ties with Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz – as the Eagles scored 22 PTS or less in five of their first seven contests (22.7 PPG).

Jalen Hurts and company have temporarily quieted those concerns with a very productive offensive stretch to close the regular season though, considering the Eagles are 7-2 SU in their last nine games – while averaging 28.8 PPG on 374.4 YPG across that window.

The Cowboys are 6-2 ATS in their last eight matchups against Philadelphia. (AP)

DALLAS COWBOYS VS. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting a fourth consecutive victory last week, the Eagles enter Saturday night’s contest as 5.5-point home underdogs against the visiting Cowboys – marking the seventh straight game Dallas has been favored by five points or more in.

I’ll take the over here, as Philadelphia and Dallas have both secured playoff berths already, and depending on how things shake out, they could potentially square off in the first round – so both squads will likely hold their cards close to the chest defensively and partake in a relatively nonchalant high-scoring bout on Saturday night.
