If there was one team that lost in Week 2 but had something to feel really good about, it was Georgia. Why, you ask? Well, it's quite simple.
The Dawgs have found their next great running back. His name is Knowshon Moreno.
The redshirt freshman darted and dashed his way to 104 rushing yards on just 14 carries in the loss to South Carolina. He also had a pair of catches for 14 yards.
Not only did Moreno display incredible speed, but he ran with toughness and moxy. Most importantly, he wanted the ball -- bad!
And that's why Georgia took the 'L' the other night. New offensive coordinator Mike Bobo didn't feed Moreno enough, and he admitted as much Tuesday.
Bobo told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "Obviously he's a great playmaker. We need to get him the ball more."
We can't do it yet but before long, we just might be talking about Knowshon Moreno in the same conversation as other great UGA backs like Herschel Walker, Garrison Hearst, Terrell Davis, Lars Tate and Olandis Gary.
