When I was on the Steve Cofield Show last night on Fox Sports Radio, I said, "I don't want to be too overdramatic after just two games, but if there's one player I had to call out as the most disappointing in America to date, I would have to go with Auburn senior QB Brandon Cox. He has looked horrible."
Well, what do you know? Cox has already been yanked by Tommy Tuberville after throwing a pair of interceptions in the first quarter against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs returned one of those picks to the house.
At the end of the first quarter, it smells like an upset on the Plains as Sylvester Croom and Co. have a 10-0 lead and are on the move in Auburn territory.
However, Miss. St. QB Michael Henig is done for the day and could be out for a month or more. According to Lincoln Financial Sports, an X-ray revealed a broken bone in his right hand. (Henig is a right-hander.)
