According to GatorBait.net, Florida senior WR Andre "Bubba" Cadwell will play against LSU. UF head coach Urban Meyer said "he's almost 100 percent" after Wednesday's practice.
That's the good news for the Gators, who are listed as nine-point underdogs for Saturday's showdown against top-ranked LSU at Tiger Stadium.
The bad news? Senior safety Tony Joiner was arrested early Tuesday morning and accused of breaking into a tow company's impound yard to retrieve his girlfriend's car.
Joiner didn't practice Tuesday, but did participate in Wednesday's practice. It is unclear whether or not he'll make the trip to Baton Rouge at this point. Meyer did strip Joiner of his role as the team's defensive captain.
UF's secondary is banged up. Starting cornerback Markihe Anderson is "out."
I'll have my UF-LSU preview up on VI tonight with an update on Joiner and the latest on the status of LSU wide receiver Early Doucet.
