Let's go with a new name for this Top 50 -- the B.E. Index. This week's edition -- post Week 8 leading into Week 9 -- finds Ohio St. still at the top. However, as I pointed out last week, I really don't feel like Ohio St. is the premier team in the nation. In fact, I'm not even sure if Runner Up U. is a top-five squad. Nevertheless, they deserve the top slot -- for now -- since they have an incredible defense and are the most worthy of the few unbeaten squads remaning. Here we go...
