According to a VegasInsider.com source, as many as a dozen FSU players and possibly eight starters are going to be suspended for the Music City Bowl against Kentucky. An announcement is expected to be made on Monday or Tuesday.
"It's gonna be at least a dozen players and eight guys that are either starters or have started at some point," the source told VI. "This all stems from the academic scandal that came out a few months ago."
As of Friday afternoon, most sports books were listing Kentucky as either a 1 1/2 or two-point favorite. The total is in the 55-56 range.
There's also a report that Michigan is targeting West Virginia's Rich Rodriguez, but I don't buy it at all. As I have repeatedly insisted, I firmly believe that the next coach in Ann Arbor will be LSU's Les Miles.
Even if Michigan is serious about Rodriguez, I don't know that Rodriguez would be interested. It just doesn't seem like a good fit. If Rodriguez really wanted to leave, he'd have taken the 'Bama job last year.
