--ESPN.com is reporting that the Raiders are considering releasing DeAngelo Hall and/or Javon Walker. There will be plenty of teams interested in Hall, but the Falcons won't be one of 'em.
--The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Terence Moore just can't get enough of MeAngelo Hall.
--The Braves are in contention to acquire San Diego ace right-hander Jake Peavy, and they have also made an offer to 22-year-old Japanese free agent Junichi Tazawa, a hard-throwing righty.
--Congrats to Steve Cofield for scoring an interview with Obama on sports radio in Las Vegas earlier this week.
--Tommy Tuberville is in trouble at Auburn. And here's the take of Paul Finebaum, the best the state of Alabama has to offer in terms of sports journalism.
--I was late reading this one but enjoyed it anyway. It's basically Gregg Doyel delivering woodshed treatment to the Arkansas fan base.
--And here's a great follow-up to Doyel's article about Arkansas. He subsequently went on an Arkansas radio station for an interview and Deadspin captured the entire drama. Give the interview a listen if you've got a few minutes to kill. Doyel is GREAT!
