--I love it when CBSSports.com's Gregg Doyel delivers woodshed treatment. Marvin Harrison was the victim Tuesday.
--For loyal readers following my constant updates of my NFL Eliminator League, we still have nine players (of 111 originally) remaining after Arizona survived Monday night. Since I was already in the clubhouse thanks to the Dolphins' sketchy win over Seattle, I was rooting for the 49ers since four of the nine remaining participants were on Arizona. Therefore, you can imagine how irate I was when San Francisco had a first and goal with 40-plus seconds left with a chance to spike the ball and then have three shots at the end zone. Instead, the team's absolute incompetence led to just two plays -- both runs -- that were completely stuffed. Unreal!
--Al Horford had a career game last night, erupting for 27 points, 17 rebounds, six blocked shots, three assists and one steal.
--Even SI.com is giving the Hawks some love today. They are double-digit 'dogs tonight at Boston. I have a play on this game and a 6-3 (67%, +395) season mark in the NBA to date.
--FSU fifth-year senior quarterback Drew Weatherford has been biting his tongue for most of the season, but he recently made it evident that he's extremely bitter.
--Former Florida guard Jai Lucas is looking for a new school.
