At the risk of turning some VI customers off, I'm going to use this blog to update folks on my records in the four sports we have going this time of year (which is my favorite -- crunch time in football, hoops starting to take shape). I'm turned off by shameless self-promo, so I fully realize that others can be turned off the same way.
With that in mind, I'm not trying to brag here. Instead, I'm just wanting people that want to know to be able to know what's going on with me from a handicapping perspective. So here goes...
In the NFL going into tonight's Oakland-San Diego game, I own a 45-25-2 record. That's good for a 64.3 percent clip, leading "dime clients" to $18,500 of profit. I rank No. 2 on VI in both winning percentage and money (+1,850 based on plays of 100 apiece). I have a guaranteed pick going tonight and here's the link for my Sunday pick pack.
In college football, my plays have been much less lucrative. Nevertheless, I maintain a decent 25-18-1 record (+650 thanks to a few money-line winners on 'dogs) since the start of November. Click here for tonight's RU-Louisville play or you can check out my pick pack for Saturday that includes my SEC Total of the Year!
Now let's talk hoops. In recent years, I have been absolutely HORRIBLE with my basketball picks in November and December. Why, you ask? Well, simply because at that time of the year I'm still focused on football. So this season, I've been extremely selective, only playing game involving teams that I'm really familiar with (SEC/ACC) or teams I've already seen play a few times. In college basketball, I'm out to a 7-3-2 start that's good for 70 percent (No. 2 on VI) and a plus-395 money tally. I've got one play going tonight on the Oklahoma-USC total.
In the NBA, I started out hot riding my Hawks team to a number of victories but since Josh Smith got hurt (he did return last night after a 12-game absence), I've lost my "feel" for Atlanta and therefore haven't had many selections. I'm at 8-6-2 for the season. That's 57.1 percent with a money tally of plus-265. I have a play on the side for Denver-San Antonio tonight.
With football coming to a close fairly soon, I'll be releasing a lot more basketball plays, so be on the look out for that. Best of luck with all your bets!
