Seahawks To Upset Manning and Broncos
Yeah, yeah, I get it. Peyton Manning is a media darling and will lead the Broncos to a Super Bowl victory on Sunday. I am not buying it. Give me the brash, hungry, less respected Seahawks who have a chip on their shoulder and a coach who the team will fight for. Let’s look at betting trends recently in regards to the big game.
Seattle’s defense is ranked No.1 overall, surrendering 284 YPG while allowing a league low 15 PPG. Denver’s offense is ranked No. 1 overall, gaining 454 YPG, scoring a league best 36 PPG.
This marks the fifth time in Super Bowl history that a team with the No. 1 defense has faced the team with the No. 1 offense. Defense has beat offense 3 of the 4 previous meetings. In addition teams with the better defense have won 39 of the previous 47 Super Bowls.
However, teams with the better defense are just 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS the last seven Super Bowls.
Seattle’s number one defense taking on the Broncos high scoring offense. The value to me is with Seattle plus the points and for me a straight up win. This should be a very intense exciting contest but as I mentioned last week Manning has won one more Super Bowl than me. His postseason record is something like 11-11. Give me Seattle. I expect them to win by 10. I love the leadership skills and mobility of quarterback Russell Wilson, the running ability of Lynch and a tenacious defense.
Enjoy the game. I will be hanging at the VIP Super Bowl Party at the world famous Red Rock Hotel/Casino. This will be fun watching football, drinking, eating and winning money. Life is good in Sin City and it’s even better Super Bowl weekend. Bet the Seahawks, you’ll be glad you did. See the cashier!
